It is I who made the earth and created mankind on it. My own hands stretched out the heavens; I marshaled their starry hosts.

I made the earth. I created human beings to live there. My own hands spread out the heavens. I put all the stars in their places.

By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible.

‘ Ah, Lord God! It is you who have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm! Nothing is too hard for you.

Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand and marked off the heavens with a span, enclosed the dust of the earth in a measure and weighed the mountains in scales and the hills in a balance?

Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable.

Then God said,“ Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.
