他們愚昧無知，因為眼睛被封住以致看不見，心竅被塞住以致不明白。

他们不知道，也不思想；因为耶和华闭住他们的眼，不能看见，塞住他们的心，不能明白。

他们既无知，又不思想；因为耶和华蒙蔽他们的眼，使他们看不见，塞住他们的心，使他们不明白。

他们愚昧无知，因为眼睛被封住以致看不见，心窍被塞住以致不明白。

他们并不知道，也不明白；因为耶和华闭住他们的眼睛，使他们不能看见，塞住他们的心，使他们不能明白。

这样的人不明白，也不领悟，因为耶和华蒙蔽他们的眼使他们不能看见，蒙蔽他们的心使他们不能明悟。

他們不知道，也不思想；因為耶和華閉住他們的眼，不能看見，塞住他們的心，不能明白。

他們既無知，又不思想；因為耶和華蒙蔽他們的眼，使他們看不見，塞住他們的心，使他們不明白。

這樣的人不明白，也不領悟，因為耶和華蒙蔽他們的眼使他們不能看見，蒙蔽他們的心使他們不能明悟。

維彼不知不思、其目障翳不見、其心蒙蔽不明、

維彼不識不知、其目若塗以泥、其心不明、

惟彼不知不悟、目塗不見、心蔽不明、

They know nothing, they understand nothing; their eyes are plastered over so they cannot see, and their minds closed so they cannot understand.

People like that don’t even know what they are doing. Their eyes are shut so that they can’t see the truth. Their minds are closed so that they can’t understand it.

They know not, nor do they discern, for he has shut their eyes, so that they cannot see, and their hearts, so that they cannot understand.

Such stupidity and ignorance! Their eyes are closed, and they cannot see. Their minds are shut, and they cannot think.

Such people do not comprehend and cannot understand, for he has shut their eyes so they cannot see, and their minds so they cannot understand.

They do not know, nor do they understand, for He has smeared over their eyes so that they cannot see, and their hearts so that they cannot comprehend.

They do not know nor understand; For He has shut their eyes, so that they cannot see, And their hearts, so that they cannot understand.

They know not, neither do they consider: for he hath shut their eyes, that they cannot see; and their hearts, that they cannot understand.

Such people do not comprehend and cannot understand, for He has shut their eyes so they cannot see, and their minds so they cannot understand.

They have not known nor understood: for he hath shut their eyes, that they cannot see;[ and] their hearts, that they cannot understand.

They do not comprehend or understand, for their eyes are blind and cannot see; their minds do not discern.

They don’t know, neither do they consider: for he has shut their eyes, that they can’t see; and their hearts, that they can’t understand.

祂說：「你去告訴以色列人，『你們聽了又聽，卻不明白；看了又看，卻不領悟。』要讓這些人心靈麻木，耳朵發背，眼睛昏花，免得他們眼睛看見，耳朵聽見，心裡明白，回心轉意，就得到醫治。」

然而，即使我們所傳的福音被遮蔽，也是在那些滅亡的人當中被遮蔽。那些不信的人是被這世界的神弄瞎了心眼，以致看不見基督榮耀的福音之光。基督是上帝的本像。

接著，以賽亞又說出他們不能信的緣故：「主使他們眼瞎、心硬，免得他們眼睛看見，心裡明白，回心轉意，就得到我的醫治。」

『聽著，你們這群愚昧無知的人啊，你們視而不見，聽而不聞。

因此我就任憑他們頑固不化，為所欲為。

你們喜歡互相恭維，卻不追求從獨一上帝來的榮耀，怎能信我呢？

你就會懂得敬畏耶和華，認識上帝。因為耶和華賜人智慧，知識和悟性出自祂的口。祂使正直人充滿智慧，是行為純全者的盾牌。祂看守正義之路，護衛虔誠人的道。這樣，你就明白何為仁義、公平和正直，懂得一切美善之道。

他來要按照撒旦的伎倆行各樣虛假的異能、神蹟和奇事，用盡各樣詭計欺騙那些將要滅亡的人，因為他們不喜歡接受那能拯救他們的真理。上帝就讓他們是非不辨，去相信那些虛假的謊言，使一切不相信真理、反喜愛不義的人都被定罪。

以賽亞的預言正應驗在他們身上，『你們聽了又聽，卻不明白；看了又看，卻不領悟。因為這些人心靈麻木，耳朵發背，眼睛昏花，以致眼睛看不見，耳朵聽不見，心裡不明白，無法回心轉意，得不到我的醫治。』

你們為什麼不明白我的話呢？因為你們聽不進去我的道。

他們雖然明知有上帝，卻不把祂當作上帝，既不將榮耀歸給祂，也不感謝祂。他們的思想因此變得荒謬無用，無知的心也變得昏暗不明。他們自以為聰明，其實愚不可及，以必朽的人、飛禽、走獸和爬蟲的形像來取代永恆上帝的榮耀。

因為耶和華把沉睡的靈傾倒在你們身上，祂封住你們的眼睛，蓋住你們的頭。你們的眼睛就是先知，你們的頭就是先見。

正如聖經上說：「上帝使他們至今心智昏迷，眼睛看不見，耳朵聽不到。」大衛也說：「願他們的宴席成為網羅、陷阱、絆腳石，給他們帶來報應；願他們眼目昏暗，無法看見，永遠彎腰駝背。」

許多人必被淨化、洗滌、煉淨。但惡人必依舊作惡，他們無人明白，只有智者能明白。

牛認識主人，驢也認得主人的槽，以色列卻不認識，我的子民卻不明白。」

邪惡之人不明白公義，尋求耶和華的全然明白。

既然他們故意不認識上帝，上帝就任憑他們心思敗壞，做不當做的事。

他們以灰為食，心智迷糊，走入歧途，不能自救，也不會說：「我右手拿的神像不是假的嗎？」

在以往的世代，祂雖然容許萬國各行其道，

「列國的流亡者啊，你們要聚集到這裡來。那些抬著木頭神像、向不能救人的神明禱告的人真愚昧！

無知的人不會明白，愚蠢的人也不會瞭解：

你們這些毒蛇的後代！你們心裡邪惡，又怎能講出好話呢？因為心裡充滿的，口裡自然會說出來。

製造偶像的真是無用，他們珍愛的偶像毫無價值。拜神像的人目盲眼瞎，愚昧無知，自找羞辱。

他們都愚昧無知，毫無用處的木製偶像能教導他們什麼呢？

他們把神像抬起來扛在肩上，找個地方把它安置好，它就在那裡呆立不動。人向它呼求，它不能回應，也不能救人脫離困境。「你們這些悖逆的人啊，要將這些事銘記在心。

人人愚昧無知，工匠都因自己鑄造的偶像而慚愧，因為這些神像全是假的，沒有氣息。

他們眼中充滿淫慾，不停地犯罪，引誘那些信心不堅定的人。他們貪婪成性，實在是該受咒詛！

讓那些智者明白這一切，讓那些明哲瞭解這一切。因為耶和華的道是正道，義人要行走在上面，罪人卻在上面跌倒。

這些人就像貪吃的狗，不知飽足，又像什麼都不懂的牧人，人人各行其是，追求自己的利益。
