集列邦、會萬民、其中孰能言此、而示我以往事、當攜證者、以徵其言、使人聞之曰、誠是也、

耶和華又曰、我之選民、為我臣僕、可為證、灼知予、篤信予、以我為上帝、在我之先、在我之後、無他上帝。

All the nations gather together and the peoples assemble. Which of their gods foretold this and proclaimed to us the former things? Let them bring in their witnesses to prove they were right, so that others may hear and say,“ It is true.”

Gather the nations together! Assemble the peoples of the world! Which of their idols has ever foretold such things? Which can predict what will happen tomorrow? Where are the witnesses of such predictions? Who can verify that they spoke the truth?

耶和华对假神说：“你们要呈上你们的案件；雅各的君说：你们要声明你们确实的理由。可以声明，指示我们将来必遇的事，说明先前的是什么事，好叫我们思索，得知事的结局，或者把将来的事指示我们。要说明后来的事，好叫我们知道你们是神。你们或降福，或降祸，使我们惊奇，一同观看。看哪，你们属乎虚无；你们的作为也属乎虚空。那选择你们的是可憎恶的。“我从北方兴起一人；他是求告我名的，从日出之地而来。他必临到掌权的，好像临到灰泥，仿佛窑匠踹泥一样。谁从起初指明这事，使我们知道呢？谁从先前说明，使我们说他不错呢？谁也没有指明；谁也没有说明；谁也没有听见你们的话。

你要提醒我，你我可以一同辩论；你可以将你的理陈明，自显为义。

众海岛啊，当在我面前静默；众民当从新得力，都要近前来才可以说话，我们可以彼此辩论。

自从我设立古时的民，谁能像我宣告，并且指明，又为自己陈说呢？让他将未来的事和必成的事说明。你们不要恐惧，也不要害怕。我岂不是从上古就说明指示你们吗？并且你们是我的见证！除我以外，岂有真神吗？诚然没有磐石，我不知道一个！”制造雕刻偶像的尽都虚空；他们所喜悦的都无益处；他们的见证无所看见，无所知晓，他们便觉羞愧。

大能者神耶和华已经发言招呼天下，从日出之地到日落之处。

所以，我从古时将这事给你说明，在未成以先指示你，免得你说：‘这些事是我的偶像所行的，是我雕刻的偶像和我铸造的偶像所命定的。’“你已经听见，现在要看见这一切；你不说明吗？从今以后，我将新事，就是你所不知道的隐密事指示你。

以利亚前来对众民说：“你们心持两意要到几时呢？若耶和华是神，就当顺从耶和华；若巴力是神，就当顺从巴力。”众民一言不答。以利亚对众民说：“作耶和华先知的只剩下我一个人；巴力的先知却有四百五十个人。当给我们两只牛犊，巴力的先知可以挑选一只，切成块子，放在柴上，不要点火；我也预备一只牛犊放在柴上，也不点火。你们求告你们神的名，我也求告耶和华的名。那降火显应的神，就是神。”众民回答说：“这话甚好。”

四围的列国啊，你们要速速地来，一同聚集。耶和华啊，求你使你的大能者降临。

万民哪，你们都当听这话！世上一切的居民，无论上流下流，富足贫穷，都当留心听！

若是你们以侍奉耶和华为不好，今日就可以选择所要侍奉的：是你们列祖在大河那边所侍奉的神呢？是你们所住这地的亚摩利人的神呢？至于我和我家，我们必定侍奉耶和华。”百姓回答说：“我们断不敢离弃耶和华去侍奉别神；因耶和华我们的神曾将我们和我们列祖从埃及地的为奴之家领出来，在我们眼前行了那些大神迹，在我们所行的道上，所经过的诸国，都保护了我们。耶和华又把住此地的亚摩利人都从我们面前赶出去。所以，我们必侍奉耶和华，因为他是我们的神。”约书亚对百姓说：“你们不能侍奉耶和华；因为他是圣洁的神，是忌邪的神，必不赦免你们的过犯罪恶。你们若离弃耶和华去侍奉外邦神，耶和华在降福之后，必转而降祸与你们，把你们灭绝。”百姓回答约书亚说：“不然，我们定要侍奉耶和华。”约书亚对百姓说：“你们选定耶和华，要侍奉他，你们自己作见证吧！”他们说：“我们愿意作见证。”约书亚说：“你们现在要除掉你们中间的外邦神，专心归向耶和华以色列的神。”百姓回答约书亚说：“我们必侍奉耶和华我们的神，听从他的话。”

到了献晚祭的时候，先知以利亚近前来，说：“亚伯拉罕、以撒、以色列的神，耶和华啊，求你今日使人知道你是以色列的神，也知道我是你的仆人，又是奉你的命行这一切事。耶和华啊，求你应允我，应允我！使这民知道你耶和华是神，又知道是你叫这民的心回转。”于是，耶和华降下火来，烧尽燔祭、木柴、石头、尘土，又烧干沟里的水。众民看见了，就俯伏在地，说：“耶和华是神！耶和华是神！”

“你们都当聚集而听，他们内中谁说过这些事？耶和华所爱的人必向巴比伦行他所喜悦的事；他的膀臂也要加在迦勒底人身上。

“你们从列国逃脱的人，要一同聚集前来。那些抬着雕刻木偶、祷告不能救人之神的，毫无知识。你们要述说陈明你们的理，让他们彼此商议。谁从古时指明？谁从上古述说？不是我耶和华吗？除了我以外，再没有神；我是公义的神，又是救主；除了我以外，再没有别神。

我从起初指明末后的事，从古时言明未成的事，说：‘我的筹算必立定；凡我所喜悦的，我必成就。’
