I will say to the north,‘ Give them up!’ and to the south,‘ Do not hold them back.’ Bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the ends of the earth—

I will tell the north,‘ Give them up!’ and tell the south,‘ Don’t hold them back! Bring my sons from far away, and my daughters from the ends of the earth—

所以，“主說：你們要從他們中間出來，和他們分開，不可觸摸不潔淨的東西，我就收納你們。”“我要作你們的父親，你們要作我的兒女。這是全能的主說的。”

‘背道的人哪，回轉吧！’這是耶和華的宣告。‘因為我才是你們的主。我要每城取一人，每族取二人，把你們帶到錫安。

在那些日子，猶大家必與以色列家同行，他們必從北方之地一同來到我賜給你們列祖為業的地方。’”“我說：‘我待你，像待兒女一樣，賜給你佳美之地，就是列國中最美好的產業；我以為你會稱我為父，不再離去不跟從我了。

你們因著信，在基督耶穌裡都作了神的兒子。你們所有受洗歸入基督的人，都是披戴基督的，並不分猶太人或希臘人，作奴僕的或自由人，男的或女的，因為你們在基督耶穌裡都成為一體了。如果你們屬於基督，就是亞伯拉罕的後裔，是按照應許承受產業的了。

到那時，這個身軀高大、皮膚光滑的民族，就是遠近都為人所懼怕的民族，強盛和踐踏人的國，他們的地有河流把地分開，他們必把禮物帶來給萬軍之耶和華，就是奉到錫安山，萬軍之耶和華立他名的地方。

就如神在何西阿書上說的：“我要稱那不是我子民的為我的子民，那不蒙愛的為蒙愛的；從前在甚麼地方對他們說：你們不是我的子民，將來就在那裡稱他們為永活神的兒子。”

也不因為他們是亞伯拉罕的後裔，就都成為他的兒女，只有“以撒生的，才可以稱為你的後裔”，這就是說，肉身生的兒女並不是神的兒女，只有憑著應許生的兒女才算是後裔。

“然而，以色列人的數目，必多如海邊的沙，量不盡，數不完。從前在甚麼地方對他們說：‘你們不是我的子民’，將來要在那裡對他們說：‘你們是永活的神的兒子。’猶大人和以色列人要聚集在一起，為自己立一位首領，並離開那地上去，因為耶斯列的日子必為大日。”（本章第10~11節在《馬索拉文本》為2:1~2）

把他們從各地，就是從東從西、從南（“南”原文作“海”）從北，招聚回來的。
