惟爾雅各、不呼籲我、以色列厭我、

惟雅各家以色列族、敬恪已弛、不肯上籲、

雅各乎、爾反不籲我、以色列乎、爾反不因我而勤勞、

“ Yet you have not called on me, Jacob, you have not wearied yourselves for me, Israel.

“ Family of Jacob, you have not prayed to me as you should. People of Israel, you have not worn yourselves out for me.

“ Yet you did not call upon me, O Jacob; but you have been weary of me, O Israel!

“ But, dear family of Jacob, you refuse to ask for my help. You have grown tired of me, O Israel!

“ But, Jacob, you have not called on me, because, Israel, you have become weary of me.

“ Yet you have not called on Me, Jacob; But you have become weary of Me, Israel.

Yet thou hast not called upon me, O Jacob; but thou hast been weary of me, O Israel.

“ But Jacob, you have not called on Me, because, Israel, you have become weary of Me.

But thou hast not called upon me, O Jacob; but thou hast been weary of me, O Israel.

“ But you did not call for me, O Jacob; you did not long for me, O Israel.

Yet you have not called on me, Jacob; but you have been weary of me, Israel.

“ O My people, what have I done to you? And how have I wearied you? Testify against Me.

You have said,‘ It is useless to serve God; What profit is it that we have kept His ordinance, And that we have walked as mourners Before the Lord of hosts?

You also say,‘ Oh, what a weariness!’ And you sneer at it,” Says the Lord of hosts.“ And you bring the stolen, the lame, and the sick; Thus you bring an offering! Should I accept this from your hand?” Says the Lord.

You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not have because you do not ask.You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures.

Pour out Your fury on the Gentiles, who do not know You, And on the families who do not call on Your name; For they have eaten up Jacob, Devoured him and consumed him, And made his dwelling place desolate.

And there is no one who calls on Your name, Who stirs himself up to take hold of You; For You have hidden Your face from us, And have consumed us because of our iniquities.

Will God hear his cry When trouble comes upon him?Will he delight himself in the Almighty? Will he always call on God?

Yet they say to God,‘ Depart from us, For we do not desire the knowledge of Your ways.Who is the Almighty, that we should serve Him? And what profit do we have if we pray to Him?’

Pour out Your wrath on the nations that do not know You, And on the kingdoms that do not call on Your name.

O Israel, return to the Lord your God, For you have stumbled because of your iniquity;Take words with you, And return to the Lord. Say to Him,“ Take away all iniquity; Receive us graciously, For we will offer the sacrifices of our lips.

Has a nation changed its gods, Which are not gods? But My people have changed their Glory For what does not profit.Be astonished, O heavens, at this, And be horribly afraid; Be very desolate,” says the Lord.“ For My people have committed two evils: They have forsaken Me, the fountain of living waters, And hewn themselves cisterns— broken cisterns that can hold no water.

Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge, Who eat up my people as they eat bread, And do not call on the Lord?

Thus says the Lord:“ What injustice have your fathers found in Me, That they have gone far from Me, Have followed idols, And have become idolaters?

“ O generation, see the word of the Lord! Have I been a wilderness to Israel, Or a land of darkness? Why do My people say,‘ We are lords; We will come no more to You’?Can a virgin forget her ornaments, Or a bride her attire? Yet My people have forgotten Me days without number.

From that time many of His disciples went back and walked with Him no more.Then Jesus said to the twelve,“ Do you also want to go away?”But Simon Peter answered Him,“ Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.Also we have come to believe and know that You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

“ As it is written in the Law of Moses, all this disaster has come upon us; yet we have not made our prayer before the Lord our God, that we might turn from our iniquities and understand Your truth.

And the pride of Israel testifies to his face, But they do not return to the Lord their God, Nor seek Him for all this.“ Ephraim also is like a silly dove, without sense— They call to Egypt, They go to Assyria.Wherever they go, I will spread My net on them; I will bring them down like birds of the air; I will chastise them According to what their congregation has heard.“ Woe to them, for they have fled from Me! Destruction to them, Because they have transgressed against Me! Though I redeemed them, Yet they have spoken lies against Me.They did not cry out to Me with their heart When they wailed upon their beds.“ They assemble together for grain and new wine, They rebel against Me;
