「雅各啊，你卻沒有求告我；以色列啊，你竟然厭煩我。

然而，雅各啊！你並沒有呼求我。以色列啊！你竟厭煩我。

『但雅各啊，你呼求的並不是我呀！以色列啊，你厭煩的倒是我呢！

「然而，雅各啊，你卻沒有呼求我；以色列啊，你竟然厭倦了我！

惟爾雅各、不呼籲我、以色列厭我、

惟雅各家以色列族、敬恪已弛、不肯上籲、

雅各乎、爾反不籲我、以色列乎、爾反不因我而勤勞、

“ Yet you have not called on me, Jacob, you have not wearied yourselves for me, Israel.

“ Family of Jacob, you have not prayed to me as you should. People of Israel, you have not worn yourselves out for me.

“ Yet you did not call upon me, O Jacob; but you have been weary of me, O Israel!

“ But, dear family of Jacob, you refuse to ask for my help. You have grown tired of me, O Israel!

“ But, Jacob, you have not called on me, because, Israel, you have become weary of me.

“ But you have not called upon Me, O Jacob; And you have been weary of Me, O Israel.

Yet thou hast not called upon me, O Jacob; but thou hast been weary of me, O Israel.

“ But Jacob, you have not called on Me, because, Israel, you have become weary of Me.

But thou hast not called upon me, O Jacob; but thou hast been weary of me, O Israel.

“ But you did not call for me, O Jacob; you did not long for me, O Israel.

Yet you have not called on me, Jacob; but you have been weary of me, Israel.

My people, what have I done to you, And how have I wearied you? Answer Me.

You have said,‘ It is pointless to serve God; and what benefit is it for us that we have done what He required, and that we have walked in mourning before the Lord of armies?

You also say,‘ See, how tiresome it is!’ And you view it as trivial,” says the Lord of armies,“ and you bring what was taken by robbery and what is lame or sick; so you bring the offering! Should I accept it from your hand?” says the Lord.

You lust and do not have, so you commit murder. And you are envious and cannot obtain, so you fight and quarrel. You do not have because you do not ask.You ask and do not receive, because you ask with the wrong motives, so that you may spend what you request on your pleasures.

Pour out Your wrath on the nations that do not know You, And on the families who do not call upon Your name; For they have devoured Jacob; They have devoured him and consumed him, And have laid waste his settlement.

There is no one who calls on Your name, Who stirs himself to take hold of You; For You have hidden Your face from us And have surrendered us to the power of our wrongdoings.

Will God hear his cry When distress comes upon him?Or will he take pleasure in the Almighty? Will he call on God at all times?

Yet they say to God,‘ Go away from us! We do not even desire the knowledge of Your ways.Who is the Almighty, that we should serve Him, And what would we gain if we plead with Him?’

Pour out Your wrath upon the nations which do not know You, And upon the kingdoms which do not call upon Your name.

Return, Israel, to the Lord your God, For you have stumbled because of your wrongdoing.Take words with you and return to the Lord. Say to Him,“ Take away all guilt And receive us graciously, So that we may present the fruit of our lips.

Has a nation changed gods, When they were not gods? But My people have exchanged their glory For that which is of no benefit.Be appalled at this, you heavens, And shudder, be very desolate,” declares the Lord.“ For My people have committed two evils: They have abandoned Me, The fountain of living waters, To carve out for themselves cisterns, Broken cisterns That do not hold water.

Do all the workers of injustice not know, Who devour my people as they eat bread, And do not call upon the Lord?

This is what the Lord says:“ What injustice did your fathers find in Me, That they went far from Me, And walked after emptiness and became empty?

You generation, look to the word of the Lord. Have I been a wilderness to Israel, Or a land of thick darkness? Why do My people say,‘ We are free to roam; We will no longer come to You’?Can a virgin forget her jewelry, Or a bride her attire? Yet My people have forgotten Me For days without number.

As a result of this many of His disciples left, and would no longer walk with Him.So Jesus said to the twelve,“ You do not want to leave also, do you?”Simon Peter answered Him,“ Lord, to whom shall we go? You have words of eternal life.And we have already believed and have come to know that You are the Holy One of God.”

Just as it is written in the Law of Moses, all this disaster has come on us; yet we have not sought the favor of the Lord our God by turning from our wrongdoing and giving attention to Your truth.

Though the pride of Israel testifies against him, Yet they have not returned to the Lord their God, Nor have they sought Him, despite all this.So Ephraim has become like a gullible dove, without sense; They call to Egypt, they go to Assyria.When they go, I will spread My net over them; I will bring them down like the birds of the sky. I will discipline them in accordance with the proclamation to their assembly.Woe to them, for they have strayed from Me! Destruction is theirs, for they have rebelled against Me! I would redeem them, but they have spoken lies against Me.And they do not cry to Me from their heart When they wail on their beds; For the sake of grain and new wine they assemble themselves, They turn against Me.
