I am about to do something new. It is beginning to happen even now. Don’t you see it coming? I am going to make a way for you to go through the desert. I will make streams of water in the dry and empty land.

“ You have heard; See all this. And will you not declare it? I have made you hear new things from this time, Even hidden things, and you did not know them.

Behold, the former things have come to pass, And new things I declare; Before they spring forth I tell you of them.”

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

Then He who sat on the throne said,“ Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me,“ Write, for these words are true and faithful.”

I will open rivers in desolate heights, And fountains in the midst of the valleys; I will make the wilderness a pool of water, And the dry land springs of water.

How long will you gad about, O you backsliding daughter? For the Lord has created a new thing in the earth— A woman shall encompass a man.”

He also brought streams out of the rock, And caused waters to run down like rivers.But they sinned even more against Him By rebelling against the Most High in the wilderness.And they tested God in their heart By asking for the food of their fancy.Yes, they spoke against God: They said,“ Can God prepare a table in the wilderness?Behold, He struck the rock, So that the waters gushed out, And the streams overflowed. Can He give bread also? Can He provide meat for His people?”

as it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet, saying:“ The voice of one crying in the wilderness:‘ Prepare the way of the Lord; Make His paths straight.Every valley shall be filled and every mountain and hill brought low; The crooked places shall be made straight and the rough ways smooth;

Then the lame shall leap like a deer, And the tongue of the dumb sing. For waters shall burst forth in the wilderness, And streams in the desert.The parched ground shall become a pool, And the thirsty land springs of water; In the habitation of jackals, where each lay, There shall be grass with reeds and rushes.A highway shall be there, and a road, And it shall be called the Highway of Holiness. The unclean shall not pass over it, But it shall be for others. Whoever walks the road, although a fool, Shall not go astray.No lion shall be there, Nor shall any ravenous beast go up on it; It shall not be found there. But the redeemed shall walk there,And the ransomed of the Lord shall return, And come to Zion with singing, With everlasting joy on their heads. They shall obtain joy and gladness, And sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

Behold, I will stand before you there on the rock in Horeb; and you shall strike the rock, and water will come out of it, that the people may drink.” And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.

He opened the rock, and water gushed out; It ran in the dry places like a river.

Then Moses lifted his hand and struck the rock twice with his rod; and water came out abundantly, and the congregation and their animals drank.

And they did not thirst When He led them through the deserts; He caused the waters to flow from the rock for them; He also split the rock, and the waters gushed out.“ There is no peace,” says the Lord,“ for the wicked.”

The voice of one crying in the wilderness:“ Prepare the way of the Lord; Make straight in the desert A highway for our God.Every valley shall be exalted And every mountain and hill brought low; The crooked places shall be made straight And the rough places smooth;

who led you through that great and terrible wilderness, in which were fiery serpents and scorpions and thirsty land where there was no water; who brought water for you out of the flinty rock;
