who drew out the chariots and horses, the army and reinforcements together, and they lay there, never to rise again, extinguished, snuffed out like a wick:

He caused Egypt to send out its chariots and horses. He sent its entire army to its death. Its soldiers lay down there. They never got up again. They were destroyed. They were blown out like a dimly burning flame. But the Lord says,

The powerful will be like a thread of yarn, their deeds like a spark; both will burn together, and no one will put out the fire.

and will go out to deceive the nations at the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to bring them together for the battle. They are as numerous as the grains of sand in the sea.They went up on the broad plain of the earth and encircled the camp of the saints and the beloved city, but fire came down from heaven and devoured them completely.

The bravehearted were plundered; they“ fell asleep.” All the warriors were helpless.At the sound of your battle cry, O God of Jacob, both rider and horse“ fell asleep.”

In the latter days I will bring you against my land so that the nations may acknowledge me, when before their eyes I magnify myself through you, O Gog.“‘ This is what the sovereign LORD says: Are you the one of whom I spoke in former days by my servants the prophets of Israel, who prophesied in those days that I would bring you against them?On that day, when Gog invades the land of Israel, declares the sovereign LORD, my rage will mount up in my anger.

You will not be buried with them, because you destroyed your land and killed your people. The offspring of the wicked will never be mentioned again.Prepare to execute his sons for the sins their ancestors have committed. They must not rise up and take possession of the earth, or fill the surface of the world with cities.”“ I will rise up against them,” says the LORD who commands armies.“ I will blot out all remembrance of Babylon and destroy all her people, including the offspring she produces,” says the LORD.

Then I saw one angel standing in the sun, and he shouted in a loud voice to all the birds flying high in the sky:“ Come, gather around for the great banquet of God,to eat your fill of the flesh of kings, the flesh of generals, the flesh of powerful people, the flesh of horses and those who ride them, and the flesh of all people, both free and slave, and small and great!”Then I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies assembled to do battle with the one who rode the horse and with his army.Now the beast was seized, and along with him the false prophet who had performed the signs on his behalf– signs by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. Both of them were thrown alive into the lake of fire burning with sulfur.The others were killed by the sword that extended from the mouth of the one who rode the horse, and all the birds gorged themselves with their flesh.

The Egyptians chased them and followed them into the middle of the sea– all the horses of Pharaoh, his chariots, and his horsemen.In the morning watch the LORD looked down on the Egyptian army through the pillar of fire and cloud, and he threw the Egyptian army into a panic.He jammed the wheels of their chariots so that they had difficulty driving, and the Egyptians said,“ Let’s flee from Israel, for the LORD fights for them against Egypt!”The LORD said to Moses,“ Extend your hand toward the sea, so that the waters may flow back on the Egyptians, on their chariots, and on their horsemen!”So Moses extended his hand toward the sea, and the sea returned to its normal state when the sun began to rise. Now the Egyptians were fleeing before it, but the LORD overthrew the Egyptians in the middle of the sea.The water returned and covered the chariots and the horsemen and all the army of Pharaoh that was coming after the Israelites into the sea– not so much as one of them survived!

The chariots of Pharaoh and his army he has thrown into the sea, and his chosen officers were drowned in the Red Sea.
