你们的救赎主、以色列的圣者、耶和华这样说：“因为你们的缘故，我已经派人到巴比伦去，我要使所有的迦勒底人都像难民一样下来，都坐在他们素来自夸的船下来。

你们的救赎主，以色列的圣者耶和华如此说：“为你们的缘故，我已经派人到巴比伦去，要把所有的人作为难民带下来，使迦勒底人的欢声变为哀歌。

那贖回你們的、以色列之聖者、永恆主這麼說：『為了你們的緣故我已經差遣人到巴比倫去；我必使他們都下來、做逃難之民，使迦勒底人、其歡呼都流為憂傷。

你們的救贖主，以色列的聖者耶和華如此說：「為你們的緣故，我已經派人到巴比倫去，要把所有的人作為難民帶下來，使迦勒底人的歡聲變為哀歌。

贖爾之耶和華、以色列之聖者云、以爾之故、我將遣人至巴比倫、使逃亡之迦勒底人、乘其喜樂之舟而來、

以色列族之聖主耶和華曰、我欲救爾、遣人至巴比倫、毀諸門楗、迦勒底人駕舟、囂然不靖、終亦必亡。

救爾之主、即以色列之聖主如是云、緣爾之故、我遣人至巴比倫、毀諸門楗、使迦勒底人、駕宴樂之舟以逃遁、

This is what the Lord says— your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel:“ For your sake I will send to Babylon and bring down as fugitives all the Babylonians, in the ships in which they took pride.

The Lord sets his people free. He is the Holy One of Israel. He says,“ People of Israel, I will send an army to Babylon to save you. I will cause all the Babylonians to run away. They will try to escape in the ships they were so proud of.

Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel:“ For your sake I send to Babylon and bring them all down as fugitives, even the Chaldeans, in the ships in which they rejoice.

This is what the Lord says— your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel:“ For your sakes I will send an army against Babylon, forcing the Babylonians to flee in those ships they are so proud of.

This is what the LORD, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel says: Because of you, I will send an army to Babylon and bring all of them as fugitives, even the Chaldeans in the ships in which they rejoice.

This is what the Lord your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel says:“ For your sake I have sent to Babylon, And will bring them all down as fugitives, Even the Chaldeans, into the ships over which they rejoice.

Thus saith Jehovah, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: For your sake I have sent to Babylon, and I will bring down all of them as fugitives, even the Chaldeans, in the ships of their rejoicing.

This is what the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel says: Because of you, I will send to Babylon and bring all of them as fugitives, even the Chaldeans in the ships in which they rejoice.

Thus saith the LORD, your redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; For your sake I have sent to Babylon, and have brought down all their nobles, and the Chaldeans, whose cry[ is] in the ships.

This is what the LORD says, your protector, the Holy One of Israel:“ For your sake I send to Babylon and make them all fugitives, turning the Babylonians’ joyful shouts into mourning songs.

Yahweh, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel says:“ For your sake, I have sent to Babylon, and I will bring all of them down as fugitives, even the Chaldeans, in the ships of their rejoicing.

Behold, the land of the Chaldeans, This people which was not; Assyria founded it for wild beasts of the desert. They set up its towers, They raised up its palaces, And brought it to ruin.

“ Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel, And his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts:‘ I am the First and I am the Last; Besides Me there is no God.

For I am the Lord your God, The Holy One of Israel, your Savior; I gave Egypt for your ransom, Ethiopia and Seba in your place.Since you were precious in My sight, You have been honored, And I have loved you; Therefore I will give men for you, And people for your life.

Thus says the Lord:“ Behold, I will raise up against Babylon, Against those who dwell in Leb Kamai, A destroying wind.And I will send winnowers to Babylon, Who shall winnow her and empty her land. For in the day of doom They shall be against her all around.Against her let the archer bend his bow, And lift himself up against her in his armor. Do not spare her young men; Utterly destroy all her army.Thus the slain shall fall in the land of the Chaldeans, And those thrust through in her streets.For Israel is not forsaken, nor Judah, By his God, the Lord of hosts, Though their land was filled with sin against the Holy One of Israel.”Flee from the midst of Babylon, And every one save his life! Do not be cut off in her iniquity, For this is the time of the LORD’s vengeance; He shall recompense her.Babylon was a golden cup in the LORD’s hand, That made all the earth drunk. The nations drank her wine; Therefore the nations are deranged.Babylon has suddenly fallen and been destroyed. Wail for her! Take balm for her pain; Perhaps she may be healed.We would have healed Babylon, But she is not healed. Forsake her, and let us go everyone to his own country; For her judgment reaches to heaven and is lifted up to the skies.The Lord has revealed our righteousness. Come and let us declare in Zion the work of the Lord our God.Make the arrows bright! Gather the shields! The Lord has raised up the spirit of the kings of the Medes. For His plan is against Babylon to destroy it, Because it is the vengeance of the Lord, The vengeance for His temple.

“ And I will repay Babylon And all the inhabitants of Chaldea For all the evil they have done In Zion in your sight,” says the Lord.

Slay all her bulls, Let them go down to the slaughter. Woe to them! For their day has come, the time of their punishment.The voice of those who flee and escape from the land of Babylon Declares in Zion the vengeance of the Lord our God, The vengeance of His temple.“ Call together the archers against Babylon. All you who bend the bow, encamp against it all around; Let none of them escape. Repay her according to her work; According to all she has done, do to her; For she has been proud against the Lord, Against the Holy One of Israel.Therefore her young men shall fall in the streets, And all her men of war shall be cut off in that day,” says the Lord.“ Behold, I am against you, O most haughty one!” says the Lord GOD of hosts;“ For your day has come, The time that I will punish you.The most proud shall stumble and fall, And no one will raise him up; I will kindle a fire in his cities, And it will devour all around him.”Thus says the Lord of hosts:“ The children of Israel were oppressed, Along with the children of Judah; All who took them captive have held them fast; They have refused to let them go.Their Redeemer is strong; The Lord of hosts is His name. He will thoroughly plead their case, That He may give rest to the land, And disquiet the inhabitants of Babylon.

“ Declare among the nations, Proclaim, and set up a standard; Proclaim— do not conceal it— Say,‘ Babylon is taken, Bel is shamed. Merodach is broken in pieces; Her idols are humiliated, Her images are broken in pieces.’For out of the north a nation comes up against her, Which shall make her land desolate, And no one shall dwell therein. They shall move, they shall depart, Both man and beast.“ In those days and in that time,” says the Lord,“ The children of Israel shall come, They and the children of Judah together; With continual weeping they shall come, And seek the Lord their God.They shall ask the way to Zion, With their faces toward it, saying,‘ Come and let us join ourselves to the Lord In a perpetual covenant That will not be forgotten.’“ My people have been lost sheep. Their shepherds have led them astray; They have turned them away on the mountains. They have gone from mountain to hill; They have forgotten their resting place.All who found them have devoured them; And their adversaries said,‘ We have not offended, Because they have sinned against the Lord, the habitation of justice, The Lord, the hope of their fathers.’“ Move from the midst of Babylon, Go out of the land of the Chaldeans; And be like the rams before the flocks.For behold, I will raise and cause to come up against Babylon An assembly of great nations from the north country, And they shall array themselves against her; From there she shall be captured. Their arrows shall be like those of an expert warrior; None shall return in vain.And Chaldea shall become plunder; All who plunder her shall be satisfied,” says the Lord.“ Because you were glad, because you rejoiced, You destroyers of My heritage, Because you have grown fat like a heifer threshing grain, And you bellow like bulls,

Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, And He who formed you from the womb:“ I am the Lord, who makes all things, Who stretches out the heavens all alone, Who spreads abroad the earth by Myself;Who frustrates the signs of the babblers, And drives diviners mad; Who turns wise men backward, And makes their knowledge foolishness;Who confirms the word of His servant, And performs the counsel of His messengers; Who says to Jerusalem,‘ You shall be inhabited,’ To the cities of Judah,‘ You shall be built,’ And I will raise up her waste places;Who says to the deep,‘ Be dry! And I will dry up your rivers’;Who says of Cyrus,‘ He is My shepherd, And he shall perform all My pleasure, Saying to Jerusalem,“ You shall be built,” And to the temple,“ Your foundation shall be laid.”’“ Thus says the Lord to His anointed, To Cyrus, whose right hand I have held— To subdue nations before him And loose the armor of kings, To open before him the double doors, So that the gates will not be shut:‘ I will go before you And make the crooked places straight; I will break in pieces the gates of bronze And cut the bars of iron.I will give you the treasures of darkness And hidden riches of secret places, That you may know that I, the Lord, Who call you by your name, Am the God of Israel.For Jacob My servant’s sake, And Israel My elect, I have even called you by your name; I have named you, though you have not known Me.I am the Lord, and there is no other; There is no God besides Me. I will gird you, though you have not known Me,

But now, thus says the Lord, who created you, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel:“ Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine.

“ All who handle the oar, The mariners, All the pilots of the sea Will come down from their ships and stand on the shore.They will make their voice heard because of you; They will cry bitterly and cast dust on their heads; They will roll about in ashes;They will shave themselves completely bald because of you, Gird themselves with sackcloth, And weep for you With bitterness of heart and bitter wailing.In their wailing for you They will take up a lamentation, And lament for you:‘ What city is like Tyre, Destroyed in the midst of the sea?‘ When your wares went out by sea, You satisfied many people; You enriched the kings of the earth With your many luxury goods and your merchandise.But you are broken by the seas in the depths of the waters; Your merchandise and the entire company will fall in your midst.All the inhabitants of the isles will be astonished at you; Their kings will be greatly afraid, And their countenance will be troubled.The merchants among the peoples will hiss at you; You will become a horror, and be no more forever.’”’”

For your Maker is your husband, The Lord of hosts is His name; And your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel; He is called the God of the whole earth.For the Lord has called you Like a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, Like a youthful wife when you were refused,” Says your God.“ For a mere moment I have forsaken you, But with great mercies I will gather you.With a little wrath I hid My face from you for a moment; But with everlasting kindness I will have mercy on you,” Says the Lord, your Redeemer.

“ And the merchants of the earth will weep and mourn over her, for no one buys their merchandise anymore:merchandise of gold and silver, precious stones and pearls, fine linen and purple, silk and scarlet, every kind of citron wood, every kind of object of ivory, every kind of object of most precious wood, bronze, iron, and marble;and cinnamon and incense, fragrant oil and frankincense, wine and oil, fine flour and wheat, cattle and sheep, horses and chariots, and bodies and souls of men.The fruit that your soul longed for has gone from you, and all the things which are rich and splendid have gone from you, and you shall find them no more at all.The merchants of these things, who became rich by her, will stand at a distance for fear of her torment, weeping and wailing,and saying,‘ Alas, alas, that great city that was clothed in fine linen, purple, and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls!For in one hour such great riches came to nothing.’ Every shipmaster, all who travel by ship, sailors, and as many as trade on the sea, stood at a distanceand cried out when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying,‘ What is like this great city?’“ They threw dust on their heads and cried out, weeping and wailing, and saying,‘ Alas, alas, that great city, in which all who had ships on the sea became rich by her wealth! For in one hour she is made desolate.’“ Rejoice over her, O heaven, and you holy apostles and prophets, for God has avenged you on her!”Then a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone and threw it into the sea, saying,“ Thus with violence the great city Babylon shall be thrown down, and shall not be found anymore.

And they sang a new song, saying:“ You are worthy to take the scroll, And to open its seals; For You were slain, And have redeemed us to God by Your blood Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation,

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer.

“ Israel is like scattered sheep; The lions have driven him away. First the king of Assyria devoured him; Now at last this Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon has broken his bones.”Therefore thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel:“ Behold, I will punish the king of Babylon and his land, As I have punished the king of Assyria.

“ Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon Has devoured me, he has crushed me; He has made me an empty vessel, He has swallowed me up like a monster; He has filled his stomach with my delicacies, He has spit me out.Let the violence done to me and my flesh be upon Babylon,” The inhabitant of Zion will say;“ And my blood be upon the inhabitants of Chaldea!” Jerusalem will say.Therefore thus says the Lord:“ Behold, I will plead your case and take vengeance for you. I will dry up her sea and make her springs dry.Babylon shall become a heap, A dwelling place for jackals, An astonishment and a hissing, Without an inhabitant.
