But now, this is what the Lord says— he who created you, Jacob, he who formed you, Israel:“ Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine.

Family of Jacob, the Lord created you. People of Israel, he formed you. He says,“ Do not be afraid. I will set you free. I will send for you by name. You belong to me.

But now thus says the Lord, he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel:“ Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine.

But now, O Jacob, listen to the Lord who created you. O Israel, the one who formed you says,“ Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine.

But now Yahweh who created you, Jacob, and he who formed you, Israel, says:“ Don’t be afraid, for I have redeemed you. I have called you by your name. You are mine.

Then I will bring the remaining third into the fire; I will refine them like silver is refined and will test them like gold is tested. They will call on my name and I will answer; I will say,‘ These are my people,’ and they will say,‘ The LORD is my God.’”

everyone who belongs to me, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed– yes, whom I made!

Don’t be afraid, for you will not be put to shame! Don’t be intimidated, for you will not be humiliated! You will forget about the shame you experienced in your youth; you will no longer remember the disgrace of your abandonment.For your husband is the one who made you– the LORD who commands armies is his name. He is your protector, the Holy One of Israel. He is called“ God of the entire earth.”

He gave himself for us to set us free from every kind of lawlessness and to purify for himself a people who are truly his, who are eager to do good.

I will give you hidden treasures, riches stashed away in secret places, so you may recognize that I am the LORD, the one who calls you by name, the God of Israel.For the sake of my servant Jacob, Israel, my chosen one, I call you by name and give you a title of respect, even though you do not recognize me.

Don’t be afraid, despised insignificant Jacob, men of Israel. I am helping you,” says the LORD, your protector, the Holy One of Israel.

They were singing a new song:“ You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals because you were killed, and at the cost of your own blood you have purchased for God persons from every tribe, language, people, and nation.

Acknowledge that the LORD is God! He made us and we belong to him; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.

But showing its fault, God says to them,“ Look, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will complete a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah.“ It will not be like the covenant that I made with their fathers, on the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of Egypt, because they did not continue in my covenant and I had no regard for them, says the Lord.“ For this is the covenant that I will establish with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord. I will put my laws in their minds and I will inscribe them on their hearts. And I will be their God and they will be my people.

“ I, the LORD, officially commission you; I take hold of your hand. I protect you and make you a covenant mediator for people, and a light to the nations,

the people whom I formed for myself, so they might praise me.”

This is what the LORD, the one who made you, says– the one who formed you in the womb and helps you:“ Don’t be afraid, my servant Jacob, Jeshurun, whom I have chosen!

In a far-off land the LORD will manifest himself to them. He will say to them,‘ I have loved you with an everlasting love. That is why I have continued to be faithful to you.

For we are his workmanship, having been created in Christ Jesus for good works that God prepared beforehand so we may do them.

Therefore keep up your courage, men, for I have faith in God that it will be just as I have been told.

“ No longer will your name be Jacob,” the man told him,“ but Israel, because you have fought with God and with men and have prevailed.”

“‘ Then I passed by you and watched you, noticing that you had reached the age for love. I spread my cloak over you and covered your nakedness. I swore a solemn oath to you and entered into a marriage covenant with you, declares the sovereign LORD, and you became mine.

But the one who will rescue them is strong. He is known as the LORD who rules over all. He will strongly champion their cause. As a result he will bring peace and rest to the earth, but trouble and turmoil to the people who inhabit Babylonia.

The account of his intervention will be recorded for future generations; people yet to be born will praise the LORD.

The LORD said to Moses,“ I will do this thing also that you have requested, for you have found favor in my sight, and I know you by name.”

“ They will belong to me,” says the LORD who rules over all,“ in the day when I prepare my own special property. I will spare them as a man spares his son who serves him.

Remember these things, O Jacob, O Israel, for you are my servant. I formed you to be my servant; O Israel, I will not forget you!I remove the guilt of your rebellious deeds as if they were a cloud, the guilt of your sins as if they were a cloud. Come back to me, for I protect you.”Shout for joy, O sky, for the LORD intervenes; shout out, you subterranean regions of the earth. O mountains, give a joyful shout; you too, O forest and all your trees! For the LORD protects Jacob; he reveals his splendor through Israel.This is what the LORD, your protector, says, the one who formed you in the womb:“ I am the LORD, who made everything, who alone stretched out the sky, who fashioned the earth all by myself,

However, God’s solid foundation remains standing, bearing this seal:“ The Lord knows those who are his,” and“ Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from evil.”

For the LORD’s allotment is his people, Jacob is his special possession.

They will be called,“ The Holy People, the Ones Protected by the LORD.” You will be called,“ Sought After, City Not Abandoned.”

One will say,‘ I belong to the LORD,’ and another will use the name‘ Jacob.’ One will write on his hand,‘ The LORD’s,’ and use the name‘ Israel.’”This is what the LORD, Israel’s king, says, their protector, the LORD who commands armies:“ I am the first and I am the last, there is no God but me.

This is what the LORD, your protector, says, the Holy One of Israel:“ I am the LORD your God, who teaches you how to succeed, who leads you in the way you should go.

Listen to me, you coastlands! Pay attention, you people who live far away! The LORD summoned me from birth; he commissioned me when my mother brought me into the world.

This is what the LORD says, your protector, the Holy One of Israel:“ For your sake I send to Babylon and make them all fugitives, turning the Babylonians’ joyful shouts into mourning songs.I am the LORD, your Holy One, the one who created Israel, your king.”

By your loyal love you will lead the people whom you have redeemed; you will guide them by your strength to your holy dwelling place.

And now, if you will diligently listen to me and keep my covenant, then you will be my special possession out of all the nations, for all the earth is mine,and you will be to me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words that you will speak to the Israelites.”

Just as surely as I have done this, so surely will I never reject the descendants of Jacob. Nor will I ever refuse to choose one of my servant David’s descendants to rule over the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Indeed, I will restore them and show mercy to them.”

“ You have surely noticed what these people are saying, haven’t you? They are saying,‘ The LORD has rejected the two families of Israel and Judah that he chose.’ So they have little regard that my people will ever again be a nation.

No lions will be there, no ferocious wild animals will be on it– they will not be found there. Those delivered from bondage will travel on it,those whom the LORD has ransomed will return that way. They will enter Zion with a happy shout. Unending joy will crown them, happiness and joy will overwhelm them; grief and suffering will disappear.

For you are our father, though Abraham does not know us and Israel does not recognize us. You, LORD, are our father; you have been called our protector from ancient times.

When neither sun nor stars appeared for many days and a violent storm continued to batter us, we finally abandoned all hope of being saved.
