“ I am the Lord; that is my name! I will not yield my glory to another or my praise to idols.

“ I am the Lord. That is my name! I will not let any other god share my glory. I will not let statues of gods share my praise.

I am the Lord; that is my name; my glory I give to no other, nor my praise to carved idols.

“ I am the Lord; that is my name! I will not give my glory to anyone else, nor share my praise with carved idols.

I am the LORD. That is my name, and I will not give my glory to another or my praise to idols.

我為己、為己之名、必如是以行、我焉能使我名被褻瀆、必不以我榮歸於他人、

使之明知主名乃耶和華獨為全地至高之主、

我之外毋敬別神、原文作毋於我前有別神或作毋敬別神以配我毋為己作偶像、上天下地、與地下水中百物、毋作其像、毋跪拜、毋崇事、蓋我耶和華爾之天主、乃忌邪之天主、或作不容人崇奉別神惡我者、我必討其罪、以及子孫、至三四代、

毋崇拜他神、因我耶和華稱為忌邪者、乃忌邪之天主、

惟我、惟我為主、我之外無他救主、

不敬子者、即不敬遣子之父、

摩西對天主曰、我見以色列人謂之曰、爾祖之天主遣我就爾、彼若問我曰、其名為何、我將何以告之、天主謂摩西曰、我自有永有者、又曰、爾當告以色列人曰、自有者、遣我就爾、天主又謂摩西曰、當如是告以色列人云、遣我就爾者乃耶和華、即爾列祖之天主、亞伯拉罕之天主、以撒之天主、雅各之天主、此乃我恆久之名、歷世之稱、

又曰、如是、可使以色列人信其列祖之天主耶和華、即亞伯拉罕之天主、以撒之天主、雅各之天主、實顯現於爾、

耶穌曰、我誠告爾、未有亞伯拉罕、我已在矣、
