「耳聾的人啊，聽吧！眼瞎的人啊，看吧！

聾子啊！你們要聽。瞎子啊！你們要留心去看。

“ Hear, you deaf; look, you blind, and see!

“ Israel, listen to me! You can hear, but you do not understand. Look to me! You can see, but you do not know what you are seeing.

“ Listen, you who are deaf! Look and see, you blind!

“ Hear, you deaf; And look, you blind, that you may see.

“ Listen, you deaf ones! Take notice, you blind ones!

“ Hear, you deaf, and look, you blind, that you may see.

On that day those who are deaf will hear words of a book, And out of their gloom and darkness the eyes of those who are blind will see.

and looking up to heaven with a deep sigh, He* said to him,“ Ephphatha!” that is,“ Be opened!”And his ears were opened, and the impediment of his tongue was removed, and he began speaking plainly.And He gave them orders not to tell anyone; but the more He ordered them, the more widely they continued to proclaim it.And they were utterly astonished, saying,“ He has done all things well; He makes even those who are deaf hear, and those who are unable to talk, speak.”

And He answered and said to them,“ Go and report to John what you have seen and heard: people who were blind receive sight, people who limped walk, people with leprosy are cleansed and people who were deaf hear, dead people are raised up, and people who are poor have the gospel preached to them.

Then the eyes of those who are blind will be opened, And the ears of those who are deaf will be unstopped.

The hearing ear and the seeing eye, The Lord has made both of them.

Bring out the people who are blind, even though they have eyes, And those who are deaf, even though they have ears.

But the Lord said to him,“ Who has made the human mouth? Or who makes anyone unable to speak or deaf, or able to see or blind? Is it not I, the Lord?

Because you say,“ I am rich, and have become wealthy, and have no need of anything,” and you do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked,I advise you to buy from Me gold refined by fire so that you may become rich, and white garments so that you may clothe yourself and the shame of your nakedness will not be revealed; and eye salve to apply to your eyes so that you may see.
