Israel is blind. So I will lead them along paths they had not known before. I will guide them on roads they are not familiar with. I will turn the darkness into light as they travel. I will make the rough places smooth. Those are the things I will do. I will not desert my people.

And I will lead the blind in a way that they do not know, in paths that they have not known I will guide them. I will turn the darkness before them into light, the rough places into level ground. These are the things I do, and I do not forsake them.

I will lead blind Israel down a new path, guiding them along an unfamiliar way. I will brighten the darkness before them and smooth out the road ahead of them. Yes, I will indeed do these things; I will not forsake them.

Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying,“ This is the way; walk in it.”

And a highway will be there; it will be called the Way of Holiness; it will be for those who walk on that Way. The unclean will not journey on it; wicked fools will not go about on it.

The sun will no more be your light by day, nor will the brightness of the moon shine on you, for the Lord will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your glory.Your sun will never set again, and your moon will wane no more; the Lord will be your everlasting light, and your days of sorrow will end.

Then the eyes of those who see will no longer be closed, and the ears of those who hear will listen.

For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light

I will give them singleness of heart and action, so that they will always fear me and that all will then go well for them and for their children after them.I will make an everlasting covenant with them: I will never stop doing good to them, and I will inspire them to fear me, so that they will never turn away from me.I will rejoice in doing them good and will assuredly plant them in this land with all my heart and soul.

For the Lord will not reject his people; he will never forsake his inheritance.

In that day the deaf will hear the words of the scroll, and out of gloom and darkness the eyes of the blind will see.

Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said,“ Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”

because of the tender mercy of our God, by which the rising sun will come to us from heavento shine on those living in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the path of peace.”

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him!For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!

See, I will bring them from the land of the north and gather them from the ends of the earth. Among them will be the blind and the lame, expectant mothers and women in labor; a great throng will return.They will come with weeping; they will pray as I bring them back. I will lead them beside streams of water on a level path where they will not stumble, because I am Israel’s father, and Ephraim is my firstborn son.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you,who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.

“ Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you.

This is what the Lord says— your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel:“ I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go.

He pursues them and moves on unscathed, by a path his feet have not traveled before.

For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

Those who are wayward in spirit will gain understanding; those who complain will accept instruction.”

All your children will be taught by the Lord, and great will be their peace.

Then you will know which way to go, since you have never been this way before. But keep a distance of about two thousand cubits between you and the ark; do not go near it.”

But we ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters loved by the Lord, because God chose you as firstfruits to be saved through the sanctifying work of the Spirit and through belief in the truth.He called you to this through our gospel, that you might share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

What is crooked cannot be straightened; what is lacking cannot be counted.

I will go before you and will level the mountains; I will break down gates of bronze and cut through bars of iron.

“ Therefore I am now going to allure her; I will lead her into the wilderness and speak tenderly to her.

Consider what God has done: Who can straighten what he has made crooked?

You will be consoled when you see their conduct and their actions, for you will know that I have done nothing in it without cause, declares the Sovereign Lord.”

Then will the eyes of the blind be opened and the ears of the deaf unstopped.

Therefore I will block her path with thornbushes; I will wall her in so that she cannot find her way.
