那時公平必居於曠野，公義必住在園地裏。

基達的羊羣都必集合來歸於你，尼拜約的公羊必供你使用；牠們必上我的祭壇做蒙悅納的祭牲；我榮美之殿、我必使它榮美。

願他掌權柄，從這海到那海，從大河到地極。願他的敵人在他面前屈身；願他的仇敵餂着塵土。願他施和沿海島嶼的列王都進貢；願示巴和西巴的列王都呈獻貢品。

那時瘸子必跳躍像鹿，啞巴的舌頭必能歡呼。曠野必有水暴出，原野必有溪河湧流。

我必在無草木的高處上開出江河來，在峽谷中開闢泉源；我必使曠野變為水塘，使乾旱之地變為出水之源。我必在曠野種上香柏樹、皂莢樹、桃金孃樹、和多脂柏樹；在原野上把松樹、杉樹，和黃楊樹、一齊栽植起來；

看哪，有報好信傳平安興隆消息的人的腳登山宣告說：猶大啊，守你的節期、還你的願吧！因為那極惡的毁滅者已不能再過來攻擊你了；他已被剪除淨盡了。

因為主曾對我這麼說：『三年之內、照雇工年數的算法、基達所有的威榮都必消沒；

摩押的居民在亞嫩渡口，像散飛的鳥、像窩中之雛、被送出。

我有禍啊，因為我寄居在米設，我住在基達的帳棚中！

那報好消息者的腳在山上、何等的佳美啊！那公布平安興隆、將美福報好消息的，那公布救恩的！他對錫安說：『你的上帝在作王呢』

永恆主對她說：『兩國在你腹內，從你肚腹中就有兩族分立着，這族必強過那族，大的必服事小的。』

看哪，我正作一件新的事呢；如今已在發生，難道你們不知道麼？我在曠野開出一條道路來，在荒野掘成江河來。

『摩押的居民哪，要離開城市，住在巖石裏，像鴿子搭窩在山坑口的邊兒上。

在曠野有聲音呼喊着說：『要豫備永恆主的道路，要在原野修平我們的上帝的大路。

曠野和乾旱之地必高興；原野必快樂開花，像番紅花

你這住巖石的密洞中、雄據岡陵之高處的啊，你那令人戰慄的威風、你心中的傲慢氣、把你欺騙了。即使你如大鷹高高搭窩，就是從那裏我也必將你拉下：這是永恆主發神諭說的。

『永恆主發神諭說：住山谷和平原磐石上的人哪，你們說：「誰能下來攻擊我們？誰能進入我們的住處呢？」看哪，我跟你們為敵呢。

你這住巖石的密洞中、建居所於高處的啊，你心裏說：「誰能將我拉下地呢？」你心中的傲慢氣把你欺騙了。
