I took you from the ends of the earth, from its farthest corners I called you. I said,‘ You are my servant’; I have chosen you and have not rejected you.

I gathered you from one end of the earth to the other. From the farthest places on earth I brought you together. I said,‘ You are my servants.’ I have chosen you. I have not turned my back on you.

I have called you back from the ends of the earth, saying,‘ You are my servant.’ For I have chosen you and will not throw you away.

耶和華既歡然、以爾為民、必不汝遐棄、以尊崇己名。

約書亞告民曰、以色列族之上帝耶和華云、亙古爾祖亞伯拉罕及拿鶴之父他拉、居大河東、服事他上帝。我攜爾祖亞伯拉罕、自大河東、導入迦南、賜生子以撒、增其苗裔。我使以撒生雅各、以掃、以西耳山錫以掃為業、惟雅各與子孫往埃及。

爾上帝耶和華、於天下億兆中、特遴選爾、以爾為寶、成聖之民、役事上帝、爾較凡民、其數維寡、耶和華愛爾擇爾、非為爾曹眾多也、

兄弟乎、爾之奉召可見矣、貌為智為能為貴者、不多蒙召、乃上帝選世之不智、以愧智者、選世之不能、以愧能者、且選世之不貴者、見棄者、人視為無有者、以廢世之有者、故上帝前、無人得自誇、

耶和華所得之民不棄之如遺兮、

口誦新詩曰、爾當取册啟緘、因爾見殺流血、贖我於族姓國民中、而歸上帝、

上帝耶和華與、昔爾簡亞伯蘭、導出迦勒底之耳邑、錫名亞伯拉罕。爾察其心、知彼竭忠、故與之約、以迦南人、赫人、亞摩哩人、比哩洗人、耶布士人、革迦西人之地、錫其苗裔、爾真實無妄、言出惟行。我之列祖於埃及、備受艱辛、爾鑒之、在紅海籲呼、爾聞之、法老及其臣民、妄自誇大、爾亦知之、故行異跡奇事、罰及其身、是以爾名播揚、逮乎今日、爾使海中判、民行其間、若履陸地、敵人追襲、爾擲之於深淵、如石投水。爾晝導民以雲、夜燭民以火、其狀如柱。爾降臨於西乃山、自天諭民、賜以典章、律例、禁令、禮儀、俱真實至善。安息日為聖日、爾使眾知所持守、又命爾僕摩西、以禁令、禮儀、律例、訓迪之、民饑則餅降自天、民渴則水湧於磐、昔爾誓以土地錫民、後復令民入而居之。當時之民、即我列祖、妄自矜詡、強項不馴、不聽從爾命、不追念爾所行之異跡、倔強猶昔、背爾立牧、歸於服役之地、乃爾特加赦宥、仁慈矜憫、恆忍施恩、不棄斯民。民鑄金為犢、自謂導民出埃及之上帝即此、於是干爾震怒、然爾矜憫靡涯、不棄斯民於野、晝仍導以雲、夜仍燭以火、其狀如柱、不論何往、時無間絕。以爾聖神訓迪、錫嗎嗱以充其飢、出清泉以止其渴。歷四十年、爾養民於野、無所匱乏、厥衣不敝、厥足不胝。爾以邦國四境、分賜於民、遂據西宏之地、乃希實本王之國、巴山王噩之邦、斯民之苗裔、爾使之繁衍、如天星眾多、昔爾以土地許錫列祖、後導其子孫入焉、據而有之、迦南人居斯土、爾使民敗之、虜其君臣、惟所欲為。

誰召義人、至自東方、導之以行、服眾國、制列王、以鋒刃擊敵、以弓矢射眾、擣之成粉、若風揚秕、

爾勿畏葸、我左右爾、使爾自東自西、咸來和會、謂北方曰、當反我民、謂南方曰、無阻我民、使我子女、歸從四極、

凡蒙其恩、得其拯救、脫於仇敵者、宜頌美之兮、主召斯民、來從異邦、自西自東、自南自北、咸相集兮、

自東自西、自南自北、有人將至、席坐於上帝國、

昔我眷顧亞伯拉罕、簡其後裔、以色列族雅各家、為我臣僕。

曰、上帝豈拒厥民乎、曰、非也、我乃以色列人、亞伯拉罕裔、便雅憫支派、上帝所預知之民、不拒之、豈不知經載以利亞龥上帝、訟以色列人云、

凡我良朋聽之哉、上帝選斯世貧者、欲彼信主以為富、可嗣上帝所許愛己者之國、

惟我曰、我與晝夜立約、必不爽之、我定天地之例、必不廢之、則雅各家及我僕大闢、豈可棄之如遺、必簡其子孫、使治亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各後裔、蓋我必矜恤之、返其俘囚。
