我一看見祂，便仆倒在祂腳前，像死了一樣。祂把右手按在我身上，說：「不要害怕！我是首先的，我是末後的，

我從太初就預言末後的事，從亙古就宣佈將來的事。我的旨意必成就，我的計劃必實現。

耶和華說：『以色列人啊，你們是我的證人，我揀選你們做我的僕人，要叫你們認識我，相信我，明白我是耶和華，在我以前沒有上帝，在我以後也沒有。

「耶和華，以色列的君王和救贖主，萬軍之耶和華說，『我是首先的，我是末後的，除我以外再沒有真神。誰能與我相比？讓他告訴我。自從我設立這古老的民族以來所發生的事和將要發生的事，讓他告訴我。

「要回顧往昔，追溯歷史；問你們的父親，他們必回答你們；問你們的長者，他們必告訴你們。當初，至高者賜萬國產業，把人類分開，祂依照天使的數目，為萬族定疆界。

主上帝說：「我是阿拉法，我是俄梅加，我是昔在、今在、以後永在的全能者。」

「必有童貞女懷孕生子，祂的名字要叫以馬內利，意思是『上帝與我們同在』。」

「你要寫信告訴士每拿教會的天使，那位首先的、末後的、死而復活的主說，

誰把雅各交給了擄掠者，使以色列任人劫掠？難道不是被我們得罪的耶和華嗎？他們不肯遵行祂的道，也不聽從祂的訓誨。

「過去所發生的事，我很久以前就預言過、親口宣告過，然後使它們瞬間發生。我知道你頑梗，有鐵一般的頸項，銅一般的額頭。所以，在很久以前，事情還沒有發生時就向你預言這些事，免得你說這些是你的偶像做的，是你雕刻和鑄造的偶像命定的。「你已經聽見了，看看這一切，難道你還不承認嗎？現在我要把新事，把你不知道的隱秘事告訴你。這些事過去沒有，現在才有，在今天以前你從未聽過，免得你說，『這些事我早就知道了。』

祂從一人造出萬族，讓他們散居世界各地，又預先定下他們的期限和居住的疆界，

祂從亙古就顯明了這事。

「把你所看見的寫在書上，然後送給以弗所、士每拿、別迦摩、推雅推喇、撒狄、非拉鐵非和老底嘉七間教會。」

教導他們遵守我吩咐你們的一切。記住，我必常與你們同在，一直到世界的末了。」

耶和華說：「雅各家啊，以色列家的餘民啊，要聽我說。你們一出生，我就照顧你們；一出母胎，我就呵護你們。即使你們年老髮白的時候，我仍然一如既往地扶持你們。我造了你們，必照顧你們，扶持你們，拯救你們。

誰曾用手心量海水？誰曾用手掌度蒼天？誰曾用升斗盛大地的塵土？誰曾用秤稱高山，用天平稱丘陵？

你們向天舉目，看看是誰創造了這萬象？是誰把眾星一一領出來，給它們取名？祂的權柄和能力極大無比，它們一個也不會少。
