I look but there is no one— no one among the gods to give counsel, no one to give answer when I ask them.

I look, but there is no one among the gods that can give me advice. None of them can answer when I ask them the simplest question.

But when I look, there is no one; among these there is no counselor who, when I ask, gives an answer.

誰曾測度耶和華的靈，或作他的謀士指教他呢？他與誰商議，誰教導他，以公平的路指示他，將知識傳授與他，又將通達的道指教他呢？

他見無人，竟無一人代求，甚為詫異，就用自己的膀臂拯救他，以公義扶持他。

於是那些術士、巫師、迦勒底人、觀兆的都進來，我將那夢告訴他們，他們卻不能把夢的解釋告訴我。最後，但以理，就是按照我神明的名字稱為伯提沙撒的，來到我面前，他裏頭有神聖神明的靈，我將夢告訴他：

我來的時候，為何沒有人呢？我呼喚的時候，為何無人回應呢？我的膀臂豈是過短、不能救贖嗎？我豈無拯救之力嗎？看哪，我一斥責，海就乾了；我使江河變為曠野，其中的魚因無水腥臭，乾渴而死。

迦勒底人回答王說：「世上沒有人能解釋王的事情；從來沒有君王、大臣、掌權者向術士、巫師，或迦勒底人問過這樣的事。王所問的事很難，除了不與血肉之軀同住的上帝，沒有人能在王面前解釋。」
