I look, but there is no one, among them there is no one who serves as an adviser, that I might ask questions and receive answers.

I look but there is no one— no one among the gods to give counsel, no one to give answer when I ask them.

I look, but there is no one among the gods that can give me advice. None of them can answer when I ask them the simplest question.

But when I look, there is no one; among these there is no counselor who, when I ask, gives an answer.

Not one of your idols told you this. Not one gave any answer when I asked.

Who comprehends the mind of the LORD, or gives him instruction as his counselor?From whom does he receive directions? Who teaches him the correct way to do things, or imparts knowledge to him, or instructs him in skillful design?

He sees there is no advocate; he is shocked that no one intervenes. So he takes matters into his own hands; his desire for justice drives him on.

When the magicians, astrologers, wise men, and diviners entered, I recounted the dream for them. But they were unable to make known its interpretation to me.Later Daniel entered( whose name is Belteshazzar after the name of my god, and in whom there is a spirit of the holy gods). I recounted the dream for him as well,

Why does no one challenge me when I come? Why does no one respond when I call? Is my hand too weak to deliver you? Do I lack the power to rescue you? Look, with a mere shout I can dry up the sea; I can turn streams into a desert, so the fish rot away and die from lack of water.

The wise men replied to the king,“ There is no man on earth who is able to disclose the king’s secret, for no king, regardless of his position and power, has ever requested such a thing from any magician, astrologer, or wise man.What the king is asking is too difficult, and no one exists who can disclose it to the king, except for the gods– but they don’t live among mortals!”
