孰自始預告、使我曉然、孰自昔預示、使我言此為真實、爾中竟無能預告、無能預示、並無人曾聞爾言、

Which one of you false gods said those things would happen before they did? Who told us about them so we could know them? Who told us ahead of time? Who told us so we could say,‘ You are right’? None of you false gods told us about them. None of you told us ahead of time. In fact, no one heard you say anything at all.

Who declared it from the beginning, that we might know, and beforehand, that we might say,“ He is right”? There was none who declared it, none who proclaimed, none who heard your words.

“ Who told you from the beginning that this would happen? Who predicted this, making you admit that he was right? No one said a word!

Who told about this from the beginning, so that we might know, and from times past, so that we might say,‘ He is right’? No one announced it, no one told it, no one heard your words.

“ Tell us, you idols, what is going to happen. Tell us what the former things were, so that we may consider them and know their final outcome. Or declare to us the things to come,

Who then is like me? Let him proclaim it. Let him declare and lay out before me what has happened since I established my ancient people, and what is yet to come— yes, let them foretell what will come.

Declare what is to be, present it— let them take counsel together. Who foretold this long ago, who declared it from the distant past? Was it not I, the Lord? And there is no God apart from me, a righteous God and a Savior; there is none but me.

“ Of what value is an idol carved by a craftsman? Or an image that teaches lies? For the one who makes it trusts in his own creation; he makes idols that cannot speak.Woe to him who says to wood,‘ Come to life!’ Or to lifeless stone,‘ Wake up!’ Can it give guidance? It is covered with gold and silver; there is no breath in it.”The Lord is in his holy temple; let all the earth be silent before him.

All the nations gather together and the peoples assemble. Which of their gods foretold this and proclaimed to us the former things? Let them bring in their witnesses to prove they were right, so that others may hear and say,“ It is true.”
