我從北方興起一人，他從日出之地而來，是求告我名的；他必踩踏掌權者，如踩踏泥土，又如陶匠踹泥一般。

我自北方興起一人、呼籲我名、彼自日出之鄉而至、將踐牧伯如土、若陶人之躪泥、

我使義人崛興、自北而至、亦在日出之鄉、以籲我名、糜爛牧伯、如匠人之擣土、如陶人之躪泥、

惟彼籲籲或作宣告我名者、我激之來自北方、自日出之鄉而至、以蹂躪侯伯、猶如泥土、如陶人之踐泥然、

“ I have stirred up one from the north, and he comes— one from the rising sun who calls on my name. He treads on rulers as if they were mortar, as if he were a potter treading the clay.

“ I have stirred up a king who will come from the north. He lives in the east. He will bring honor to me. He walks all over rulers as if they were mud. He steps on them just as a potter stomps on clay.

I stirred up one from the north, and he has come, from the rising of the sun, and he shall call upon my name; he shall trample on rulers as on mortar, as the potter treads clay.

“ But I have stirred up a leader who will approach from the north. From the east he will call on my name. I will give him victory over kings and princes. He will trample them as a potter treads on clay.

“ I have stirred up one from the north, and he has come, one from the east who invokes my name. He will march over rulers as if they were mud, like a potter who treads the clay.

“ I have put one from the north into motion, and he has come; From the rising of the sun he will call on My name; And he will come upon rulers as upon mortar, As the potter treads on clay.”

“ I have raised up one from the north, And he shall come; From the rising of the sun he shall call on My name; And he shall come against princes as though mortar, As the potter treads clay.

I have raised up one from the north, and he is come; from the rising of the sun one that calleth upon my name: and he shall come upon rulers as upon mortar, and as the potter treadeth clay.

“ I have raised up one from the north, and he has come, one from the east who invokes My name. He will march over rulers as if they were mud, like a potter who treads the clay.

I have raised up[ one] from the north, and he shall come: from the rising of the sun shall he call upon my name: and he shall come upon princes as[ upon] morter, and as the potter treadeth clay.

I have stirred up one out of the north and he advances, one from the eastern horizon who prays in my name. He steps on rulers as if they were clay, like a potter treading the clay.

“ I have raised up one from the north, and he has come, from the rising of the sun, one who calls on my name, and he shall come on rulers as on mortar, and as the potter treads clay.

誰從東方興起一人，憑公義召他來到腳前？誰將列國交給他，使他管轄列王，把他們如灰塵交與他的刀，如風吹的碎稭交與他的弓？

我搗碎他們，如同地上的灰塵；踐踏壓碎他們，如同街上的泥土。

我要差遣他攻擊褻瀆的國，吩咐他對付我所惱怒的民，搶走擄物，奪取掠物，將他們踐踏，如同街上的泥土一般。

那時我的仇敵看見這事就羞愧，他曾對我說：「耶和華－你的神在哪裏？」我必親眼見他遭報，現在，他必被踐踏，如同街上的泥土。

他們必如戰場上的勇士，踐踏仇敵如街上的泥土。他們必爭戰，因為耶和華與他們同在，他們必使騎馬的羞愧。

我憑公義興起居魯士，又要修直他一切的道路。他必建造我的城，釋放我被擄的民，不為工價，也不為獎賞。」這是萬軍之耶和華說的。

你們要在境內豎立大旗，在列邦中吹角，使列邦預備攻擊巴比倫。要招集亞拉臘、米尼、亞實基拿各國前來攻擊它，派將軍攻擊它，使馬匹上來如粗暴的蝗蟲；使列邦和瑪代君王，省長和官員，他們所管的全地，都預備攻擊它。地必震動而移轉；因耶和華向巴比倫旨意已確定，要使巴比倫土地荒涼，無人居住。

有悽慘的異象向我揭示：「詭詐的在行詭詐，毀滅的在行毀滅。以攔哪，前進吧！瑪代啊，圍攻吧！我使它一切的嘆息停止了。」

「波斯王居魯士如此說：耶和華天上的神已將地上萬國賜給我，又委派我在猶大的耶路撒冷為他建造殿宇。你們中間凡作他子民的，可以上猶大的耶路撒冷去，重建耶和華－以色列神的殿，他是在耶路撒冷的神；願神與這人同在。

論居魯士說：『他是我的牧人，他要成就我所喜悅的，下令建造耶路撒冷，發命令立穩聖殿的根基。』」耶和華對所膏的居魯士如此說，他的右手我曾攙扶，使列國降服在他面前，列王的腰帶我曾鬆開，使城門在他面前敞開，不得關閉：「我要在你前面行，修平崎嶇之地。我必打破銅門，砍斷鐵閂。我要將暗中的寶物和隱藏的財富賜給你，使你知道提名召你的就是我－耶和華，以色列的神。因我的僕人雅各，我所揀選的以色列，我提名召你；你雖不認識我，我也加給你名號。我是耶和華，再沒有別的了；除了我以外再沒有神。你雖不認識我，我必給你束腰。從日出之地到日落之處使人都知道除我以外，沒有別的。我是耶和華，再沒有別的了。

因有一國從北方上來攻擊它，使它的地荒涼，無人居住，連人帶牲畜都逃走了。

我從起初就指明末後的事，從古時便言明未成的事，說：「我的籌算必立定；凡我所喜悅的，我必成就。」我召鷙鳥從東方來，召那成就我籌算的人從遠方來。我已說出，就必成就；我已謀定，也必做成。
