我從北方興起一人，他就來了；他從日出之地而來，呼求我的名；他必來踐踏掌權的，好像踐踏灰泥，又像陶匠踹泥一樣。

“我从北方兴起一人；他是求告我名的，从日出之地而来。他必临到掌权的，好像临到灰泥，仿佛窑匠踹泥一样。

我从北方兴起一人，他从日出之地而来，是求告我名的；他必踩踏掌权者，如踩踏泥土，又如陶匠踹泥一般。

我激動一個人從北方而起，他就來，從日出之地而來，他就呼求我的名；他必踐踏掌權者像踏泥土，像窰匠踹淤泥一樣。

我從北方興起一人；他從日出之地而來，他必呼求我的名。他必把掌權者像泥土一樣踐踏，如同陶匠踹踏陶泥。

我自北方興起一人、呼籲我名、彼自日出之鄉而至、將踐牧伯如土、若陶人之躪泥、

我使義人崛興、自北而至、亦在日出之鄉、以籲我名、糜爛牧伯、如匠人之擣土、如陶人之躪泥、

惟彼籲籲或作宣告我名者、我激之來自北方、自日出之鄉而至、以蹂躪侯伯、猶如泥土、如陶人之踐泥然、

“ I have stirred up one from the north, and he comes— one from the rising sun who calls on my name. He treads on rulers as if they were mortar, as if he were a potter treading the clay.

“ I have stirred up a king who will come from the north. He lives in the east. He will bring honor to me. He walks all over rulers as if they were mud. He steps on them just as a potter stomps on clay.

I stirred up one from the north, and he has come, from the rising of the sun, and he shall call upon my name; he shall trample on rulers as on mortar, as the potter treads clay.

“ But I have stirred up a leader who will approach from the north. From the east he will call on my name. I will give him victory over kings and princes. He will trample them as a potter treads on clay.

“ I have stirred up one from the north, and he has come, one from the east who invokes my name. He will march over rulers as if they were mud, like a potter who treads the clay.

“ I have put one from the north into motion, and he has come; From the rising of the sun he will call on My name; And he will come upon rulers as upon mortar, As the potter treads on clay.”

“ I have raised up one from the north, And he shall come; From the rising of the sun he shall call on My name; And he shall come against princes as though mortar, As the potter treads clay.

I have raised up one from the north, and he is come; from the rising of the sun one that calleth upon my name: and he shall come upon rulers as upon mortar, and as the potter treadeth clay.

“ I have raised up one from the north, and he has come, one from the east who invokes My name. He will march over rulers as if they were mud, like a potter who treads the clay.

I have stirred up one out of the north and he advances, one from the eastern horizon who prays in my name. He steps on rulers as if they were clay, like a potter treading the clay.

“ I have raised up one from the north, and he has come, from the rising of the sun, one who calls on my name, and he shall come on rulers as on mortar, and as the potter treads clay.

誰從東方激動了一個人，憑公義把他召到自己的腳前來？他把列國交在他面前，他制伏眾王；他使他們在他的刀下化作灰塵，他使他們在他的弓下像碎稭一樣被吹散。

我搗碎他們，像地上的塵土；我打碎他們，踐踏他們，像街上的爛泥。

我要差派他去攻擊一個不敬虔的國，吩咐他去攻擊我惱怒的子民，擄去掠物，搶奪擄物，把他們踐踏，像街上的泥土一樣。

我的仇敵看見了，就必蒙羞，就是那曾經對我說：“耶和華你的神在哪裡”的人，我必親眼看見他遭報；那時，他必被人踐踏，好像街上的泥土。

他們必像勇士，在戰場上把仇敵踐踏在街上的泥土中，他們必爭戰，因為耶和華與他們同在，他們必使敵方的騎士羞愧。

我憑著公義興起了古列，我必修平他的一切道路；他必建造我的城，釋放我被擄的子民，不必用工價，也不用賞賜，這是萬軍之耶和華說的。”

“你們要在地上豎起旗幟，在列國中吹號角，使列國作好準備攻擊巴比倫，把亞拉臘、米尼、亞實基拿等國召來攻擊她，又指派元帥來攻擊她，使馬匹像蝗蟲洶湧上來。你們要使列國作好準備攻擊她，使瑪代諸王，和她的省長、總監，以及他們轄下各地的人民都作好準備攻擊她。大地震動翻騰，因為耶和華攻擊巴比倫所定的旨意立定不移，要使巴比倫的地荒涼，沒有人居住。

我被指示去看一個慘酷的異象：那行詭詐的仍然行詭詐，那行破壞的仍然行破壞。以攔哪，上去吧！瑪代啊，圍攻吧！我要使一切歎息止住。

“波斯王古列這樣說：‘耶和華天上的神已經把地上萬國賜給我。他指派我在猶大的耶路撒冷為他建造殿宇。你們中間凡是他的子民，願神與他同在的，都可以上猶大的耶路撒冷去，建造耶和華以色列的神的殿，他是在耶路撒冷受敬拜的神。

我對古列說：‘我的牧人；他必成就我所喜悅的一切。’他要對耶路撒冷說：‘你必被重建起來！’他必對聖殿說：‘你的根基要奠定！’”“我耶和華所膏立的古列，我緊握著他的右手，使列國降服在他面前；我也鬆開列王的腰帶；我使門戶在他面前敞開，使城門不得關閉；耶和華對古列這樣說：我必親自領導你，把高低不平的路修平；銅門，我必打破；鐵門，我必砍斷。我必把隱藏的寶物和在隱密處的財寶賜給你，使你知道我就是按著你的名呼召了你的耶和華，以色列的神。因我的僕人雅各和我所揀選的以色列的緣故，我按著你的名呼召了你；你雖然不認識我，我卻給你這個尊貴的名號。“我是耶和華，再沒有別的神了；除了我以外，並沒有真神；你雖然不認識我，我必堅固你，為要叫從日出之地到日落之地的人都知道，除了我以外，沒有真神；我是耶和華，再沒有別的神了。

因為有一個國家從北方來攻擊它，使它的地荒涼；沒有人在那裡居住，人畜都逃跑無蹤。

我從起初就宣告末後的事，從古時就述說還未作成的事，說：‘我的計劃必定成功，我所喜悅的，我都必作成。’我把鷙鳥從日出之地召來，就是把成就我計劃的人從遠方召來。我不但說了，而且也要使我的話實現；我不但計劃好了，而且也必實行。
