偶像好像瓜田里的稻草人，不能说话，不能行走，必须有人抬着。不要怕它们，因它们不能降祸，也无力降福。”

自从古时我设立了人，谁能像我宣告，指明，又为自己陈说呢？让他指明未来的事和必成的事吧！你们不要恐惧，也不要害怕。我岂不是从上古就告诉并指示你们了吗？你们是我的见证人！除我以外，岂有上帝呢？诚然没有磐石，就我所知，一个也没有！”

我要将暗中的宝物和隐藏的财富赐给你，使你知道提名召你的就是我—耶和华，以色列的上帝。

我造光，又造暗；施平安，又降灾祸；做成这一切的是我—耶和华。“诸天哪，要如雨倾盆而降，云要降下公义，地要裂开，救恩涌出，使公义也一同滋长；这都是我—耶和华造的。”

他们抬起神像，扛在肩上，安置在定处，使它站立，不离本位；人呼求它，它却不回答，也无法救人脱离灾难。

要追念上古的事，因为我是上帝，并无别的；我是上帝，没有能与我相比的。我从起初就指明末后的事，从古时便言明未成的事，说：“我的筹算必立定；凡我所喜悦的，我必成就。”
