The poor and needy seek water, and there is none. Their tongue fails for thirst. I, Yahweh, will answer them. I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them.

“ The poor and needy search for water, but there is none; their tongues are parched with thirst. But I the Lord will answer them; I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them.

“ Those who are poor and needy search for water. But there isn’t any. Their tongues are dry because they are thirsty. But I will help them. I am the Lord. I will not desert them. I am Israel’s God.

When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue is parched with thirst, I the Lord will answer them; I the God of Israel will not forsake them.

[ When] the poor and needy seek water, and[ there is] none,[ and] their tongue faileth for thirst, I the LORD will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them.

The oppressed and the poor look for water, but there is none; their tongues are parched from thirst. I, the LORD, will respond to their prayers; I, the God of Israel, will not abandon them.

For the people will dwell in Zion at Jerusalem. You will weep no more. He will surely be gracious to you at the voice of your cry. When he hears you, he will answer you.

“ Hey! Come, everyone who thirsts, to the waters! Come, he who has no money, buy, and eat! Yes, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled.

I will bring the blind by a way that they don’t know. I will lead them in paths that they don’t know. I will make darkness light before them, and crooked places straight. I will do these things, and I will not forsake them.

The Lord Yahweh’s Spirit is on me, because Yahweh has anointed me to preach good news to the humble. He has sent me to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and release to those who are bound,

Now on the last and greatest day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out,“ If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink!He who believes in me, as the Scripture has said, from within him will flow rivers of living water.”But he said this about the Spirit, which those believing in him were to receive. For the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus wasn’t yet glorified.

You, God, sent a plentiful rain. You confirmed your inheritance when it was weary.Your congregation lived therein. You, God, prepared your goodness for the poor.

The people were thirsty for water there; so the people murmured against Moses, and said,“ Why have you brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us, our children, and our livestock with thirst?”

Call on me in the day of trouble. I will deliver you, and you will honor me.”

Behold, I am with you, and will keep you, wherever you go, and will bring you again into this land. For I will not leave you, until I have done that which I have spoken of to you.”

God, you are my God. I will earnestly seek you. My soul thirsts for you. My flesh longs for you, in a dry and weary land, where there is no water.So I have seen you in the sanctuary, watching your power and your glory.

He was very thirsty, and called on Yahweh and said,“ You have given this great deliverance by the hand of your servant; and now shall I die of thirst, and fall into the hands of the uncircumcised?”But God split the hollow place that is in Lehi, and water came out of it. When he had drunk, his spirit came again, and he revived. Therefore its name was called En Hakkore, which is in Lehi, to this day.

For Yahweh has built up Zion. He has appeared in his glory.He has responded to the prayer of the destitute, and has not despised their prayer.

The animals of the field, the jackals and the ostriches, shall honor me, because I give water in the wilderness and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen,

Be free from the love of money, content with such things as you have, for he has said,“ I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you.”So that with good courage we say,“ The Lord is my helper. I will not fear. What can man do to me?”

“ Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.

Jesus answered her,“ If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you,‘ Give me a drink,’ you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water.”The woman said to him,“ Sir, you have nothing to draw with, and the well is deep. So where do you get that living water?Are you greater than our father, Jacob, who gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did his children and his livestock?”Jesus answered her,“ Everyone who drinks of this water will thirst again,but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never thirst again; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life.”The woman said to him,“ Sir, give me this water, so that I don’t get thirsty, neither come all the way here to draw.”

Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them.Then they cried to Yahweh in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses,

This poor man cried, and Yahweh heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.

For I will pour water on him who is thirsty, and streams on the dry ground. I will pour my Spirit on your descendants, and my blessing on your offspring:

The Spirit and the bride say,“ Come!” He who hears, let him say,“ Come!” He who is thirsty, let him come. He who desires, let him take the water of life freely.

He cried and said,‘ Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue! For I am in anguish in this flame.’

My strength is dried up like a potsherd. My tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth. You have brought me into the dust of death.

For my hand has made all these things, and so all these things came to be,” says Yahweh:“ but I will look to this man, even to he who is poor and of a contrite spirit, and who trembles at my word.

The tongue of the nursing child clings to the roof of his mouth for thirst. The young children ask bread, and no one breaks it for them.

For he will deliver the needy when he cries; the poor, who has no helper.He will have pity on the poor and needy. He will save the souls of the needy.

My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God?

Behold, I will stand before you there on the rock in Horeb. You shall strike the rock, and water will come out of it, that the people may drink.” Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.

For Yahweh won’t reject his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.

He said to me,“ I have become the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give freely to him who is thirsty from the spring of the water of life.

He has said to me,“ My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me.

Behold, the days come,” says the Lord Yahweh,“ that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing Yahweh’s words.They will wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east; they will run back and forth to seek Yahweh’s word, and will not find it.In that day the beautiful virgins and the young men will faint for thirst.
