“ The poor and needy search for water, but there is none; their tongues are parched with thirst. But I the Lord will answer them; I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them.

“ Those who are poor and needy search for water. But there isn’t any. Their tongues are dry because they are thirsty. But I will help them. I am the Lord. I will not desert them. I am Israel’s God.

When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue is parched with thirst, I the Lord will answer them; I the God of Israel will not forsake them.

民將居郇山、及耶路撒冷城、爾不復哭泣、呼籲於上、主必俯聞、加以矜憫、

耶和華曰、口渴者當臨水濱、無金者當至此酤酒乳、市食物、無需價值。

饑渴慕義者福矣、以其將得飽也、

惟彼瞽者、我必相之、彼不識途、我必導之、使暗為光。使曲為直、我行如是、必不遐棄斯民。

受膏者曰、主耶和華以神感我、以膏沐我、俾傳福音於貧人、傷心者醫之、釋被擄於縲絏、出俘囚於囹圄、命我宣播。

節期末、即大日、耶穌立而呼曰、人渴、宜就我飲、信我者、其腹必流活水如川、猶記所載、耶穌言此、指信者將感於聖神、當時、耶穌未榮、故聖神未降、○

亢陽久而厥土熯兮、上帝沛降甘霖、因而優渥兮、選民居之、上帝恩澤覃敷、供彼貧乏兮。

民渴甚、怨摩西曰、奚導我出埃及、使我與子及畜燥渴以死。

患難之際、禱告於我、我爾援、爾我頌兮、

我必祐爾、爾所向往、我必庇護、使歸斯土、不汝遐棄、吾所許者、必踐其言。○

上帝兮、我之上帝、予竭力以求、中心如渴、仰慕不置、我困子野、汲道已絕兮、昔在聖所、睹爾能力、瞻爾尊榮、今欲再見之兮、

渴甚、籲耶和華曰、爾既大拯爾僕、豈容渴死、使陷於未受割禮者之手乎。上帝於利希裂其一罅、水泉湧出、飲之、精神頓復、名其處曰、隱哈歌利泉、在利希至今尚存。

耶和華復建郇邑、必顯其榮兮、貧乏者流、祈禱上帝、必俯聞之、不遐棄之兮、

我之選民、行於曠野。濬厥江河、以供其飲、禽獸異類、野犬鴕鳥、靡不仰戴。

務絕貪婪、以己所有為足、上帝曰、吾不須臾遐棄爾、如是、我可毅然曰、主助我、任人所為、我不惴焉、

虛心者福矣、以天國乃其國也、

耶穌曰、倘爾識上帝之賜、與請飲者誰、爾求之、其必以活水與爾、婦曰、主、無汲器、井又深、何由得活水耶、我祖雅各、遺我此井、昔彼與子及畜、皆飲於此、爾豈大於彼乎、耶穌曰、飲此水必復渴、飲我所予之水、永不渴、我所予之水、必於其中為源、混混至永生也、婦曰、請主以此水予我、使我不渴、無庸來此汲矣、

載饑載渴、其魂喪失兮、患難之時、呼籲耶和華、蒙其援手兮、

我亦貧乏、籲耶和華、蒙其垂聽、援於患難兮。

我通水泉、以溉原田、我濬江河、以潤槁壤、我以我神、賦爾子孫、式綏祉福。

聖神與新婦語人曰、來、聞其聲者、亦當語人曰、來、渴者來此、欲得生命之水、固易易也、

呼曰、我祖亞伯拉罕、矜恤我、遣拉撒路指尖蘸水涼我舌、蓋此火燄中苦甚、

精力日以衰、如陶器嘆火而燥兮、齦閉舌卷、命臨死地兮、

我耶和華手造萬物、使之咸備、凡謙卑遜順、敬畏我命者、我垂顧之。

哺乳之嬰、厥口甚渴、齦閉舌卷兮、孩提求餅、無人擘而予之兮。

維彼窮獨、援手無人、呼籲於王、必加拯救兮、哀矜貧苦、援其生命兮、

予也中心如渴、慕永生之上帝兮、不識何時、得造其前兮、

我立於何烈磐上、爾至時當擊斯磐、水由之出、使民得飲、摩西行是、以色列長老目擊之。

耶和華所得之民不棄之如遺兮、

又曰、事畢矣、始末初終者我、我將賜渴者、飲生命之泉、固易易也、

主曰、吾恩與爾足矣、人益柔、則吾之能益彰、故余欣然、寧誇吾柔、使基督之能庇我、

主耶和華又曰、時日將至、必使斯土之民、如饑如渴、非欲食餅飲水、乃慕耶和華之道、人必遨遊、自湖至海、自北至東、求我耶和華之道、而不能得、當是日、美女壯士、口舌煩渴、喪失其魂、
