“ The poor and needy search for water, but there is none; their tongues are parched with thirst. But I the Lord will answer them; I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them.

For, you people in Zion, inhabitant in Jerusalem, you will weep no longer. He will certainly be gracious to you at the sound of your cry; when He hears it, He will answer you.

“ You there! Everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; And you who have no money come, buy and eat. Come, buy wine and milk Without money and without cost.

“ Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied.

I will lead those who are blind by a way they have not known, In paths they have not known I will guide them. I will turn darkness into light before them And uneven land into plains. These are the things I will do, And I will not leave them undone.”

The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, Because the Lord anointed me To bring good news to the humble; He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, To proclaim release to captives And freedom to prisoners;

Now on the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying,“ If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink.The one who believes in Me, as the Scripture said,‘ From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.’ ”But this He said in reference to the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were to receive; for the Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.

You made plentiful rain fall, God; You confirmed Your inheritance when it was parched.Your creatures settled in it; In Your kindness You provided for the poor, God.

But the people were thirsty for water there; and they grumbled against Moses and said,“ Why is it that you have you brought us up from Egypt, to kill us and our children and our livestock with thirst?”

Call upon Me on the day of trouble; I will rescue you, and you will honor Me.”

Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.”

God, You are my God; I shall be watching for You; My soul thirsts for You, my flesh yearns for You, In a dry and exhausted land where there is no water.So have I seen You in the sanctuary, To see Your power and glory.

Then he became very thirsty, and he called to the Lord and said,“ You have handed this great victory over to Your servant, and now am I to die of thirst and fall into the hands of the uncircumcised?”But God split the hollow place that is in Lehi so that water came out of it. When he drank, his strength returned and he revived. Therefore he named it En hakkore, which is in Lehi to this day.

For the Lord has built up Zion; He has appeared in His glory.He has turned His attention to the prayer of the destitute And has not despised their prayer.

The animals of the field will glorify Me, The jackals and the ostriches, Because I have given waters in the wilderness And rivers in the desert, To give drink to My chosen people.

Make sure that your character is free from the love of money, being content with what you have; for He Himself has said,“ I will never desert you, nor will I ever abandon you,”so that we confidently say,“ The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. What will man do to me?”

“ Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Jesus replied to her,“ If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who is saying to you,‘ Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.”She* said to Him,“ Sir, You have no bucket and the well is deep; where then do You get this living water?You are not greater than our father Jacob, are You, who gave us the well and drank of it himself, and his sons and his cattle?”Jesus answered and said to her,“ Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again;but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never be thirsty; but the water that I will give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up to eternal life.”The woman* said to Him,“ Sir, give me this water so that I will not be thirsty, nor come all the way here to draw water.”

They were hungry and thirsty; Their souls felt weak within them.Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble; He saved them from their distresses.

This wretched man cried out, and the Lord heard him, And saved him out of all his troubles.

For I will pour water on the thirsty land And streams on the dry ground; I will pour out My Spirit on your offspring, And My blessing on your descendants;

The Spirit and the bride say,“ Come.” And let the one who hears say,“ Come.” And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires, take the water of life without cost.

And he cried out and said,‘ Father Abraham, have mercy on me and send Lazarus, so that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool off my tongue, for I am in agony in this flame.’

My strength is dried up like a piece of pottery, And my tongue clings to my jaws; And You lay me in the dust of death.

For My hand made all these things, So all these things came into being,” declares the Lord.“ But I will look to this one, At one who is humble and contrite in spirit, and who trembles at My word.

The tongue of the infant clings To the roof of its mouth because of thirst; The children ask for bread, But no one breaks it for them.

For he will save the needy when he cries for help, The afflicted also, and him who has no helper.He will have compassion on the poor and needy, And he will save the lives of the needy.

My soul thirsts for God, for the living God; When shall I come and appear before God?

Behold, I will stand before you there on the rock at Horeb; and you shall strike the rock, and water will come out of it, so that the people may drink.” And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.

For the Lord will not abandon His people, Nor will He abandon His inheritance.

Then He said to me,“ It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give water to the one who thirsts from the spring of the water of life, without cost.

And He has said to me,“ My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me.

“ Behold, days are coming,” declares the Lord God,“ When I will send a famine on the land, Not a famine of bread or a thirst for water, But rather for hearing the words of the Lord.People will stagger from sea to sea And from the north even to the east; They will roam about to seek the word of the Lord, But they will not find it.On that day the beautiful virgins And the young men will faint from thirst.
