[ When] the poor and needy seek water, and[ there is] none,[ and] their tongue faileth for thirst, I the LORD will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them.

“ The poor and needy search for water, but there is none; their tongues are parched with thirst. But I the Lord will answer them; I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them.

In the last day, that great[ day] of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.( But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet[ given]; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)

Thou, O God, didst send a plentiful rain, whereby thou didst confirm thine inheritance, when it was weary.Thy congregation hath dwelt therein: thou, O God, hast prepared of thy goodness for the poor.

And the people thirsted there for water; and the people murmured against Moses, and said, Wherefore[ is] this[ that] thou hast brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our cattle with thirst?

When the LORD shall build up Zion, he shall appear in his glory.He will regard the prayer of the destitute, and not despise their prayer.

The beast of the field shall honour me, the dragons and the owls: because I give waters in the wilderness,[ and] rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen.

[ Let your] conversation[ be] without covetousness;[ and be] content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.So that we may boldly say, The Lord[ is] my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

Blessed[ are] the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water?Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle?Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw.

Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them.Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble,[ and] he delivered them out of their distresses.

This poor man cried, and the LORD heard[ him], and saved him out of all his troubles.

For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring:

And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.

My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; and thou hast brought me into the dust of death.

For all those[ things] hath mine hand made, and all those[ things] have been, saith the LORD: but to this[ man] will I look,[ even] to[ him that is] poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.

The tongue of the sucking child cleaveth to the roof of his mouth for thirst: the young children ask bread,[ and] no man breaketh[ it] unto them.

For he shall deliver the needy when he crieth; the poor also, and[ him] that hath no helper.He shall spare the poor and needy, and shall save the souls of the needy.

My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?

Behold, I will stand before thee there upon the rock in Horeb; and thou shalt smite the rock, and there shall come water out of it, that the people may drink. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.

For the LORD will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.

And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.

And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, and shall not find[ it].In that day shall the fair virgins and young men faint for thirst.
