“ The poor and needy search for water, but there is none; their tongues are parched with thirst. But I the Lord will answer them; I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them.

Thou, O God, didst send a plentiful rain, Thou didst confirm thine inheritance, when it was weary.Thy congregation dwelt therein: Thou, O God, didst prepare of thy goodness for the poor.

And the people thirsted there for water; and the people murmured against Moses, and said, Wherefore hast thou brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our cattle with thirst?

For Jehovah hath built up Zion; He hath appeared in his glory.He hath regarded the prayer of the destitute, And hath not despised their prayer.

The beasts of the field shall honor me, the jackals and the ostriches; because I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen,

Be ye free from the love of money; content with such things as ye have: for himself hath said, I will in no wise fail thee, neither will I in any wise forsake thee.So that with good courage we say, The Lord is my helper; I will not fear: What shall man do unto me?

Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: whence then hast thou that living water?Art thou greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his sons, and his cattle?Jesus answered and said unto her, Every one that drinketh of this water shall thirst again:but whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall become in him a well of water springing up unto eternal life.The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come all the way hither to draw.

Hungry and thirsty, Their soul fainted in them.Then they cried unto Jehovah in their trouble, And he delivered them out of their distresses,

This poor man cried, and Jehovah heard him, And saved him out of all his troubles.

For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and streams upon the dry ground; I will pour my Spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring:

And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And he that heareth, let him say, Come. And he that is athirst, let him come: he that will, let him take the water of life freely.

And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am in anguish in this flame.

My strength is dried up like a potsherd; And my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; And thou hast brought me into the dust of death.

For all these things hath my hand made, and so all these things came to be, saith Jehovah: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and that trembleth at my word.

The tongue of the sucking child cleaveth to the roof of his mouth for thirst: The young children ask bread, and no man breaketh it unto them.

For he will deliver the needy when he crieth, And the poor, that hath no helper.He will have pity on the poor and needy, And the souls of the needy he will save.

My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: When shall I come and appear before God?

Behold, I will stand before thee there upon the rock in Horeb; and thou shalt smite the rock, and there shall come water out of it, that the people may drink. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.

For Jehovah will not cast off his people, Neither will he forsake his inheritance.

And he said unto me, They are come to pass. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.

And he hath said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my power is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Behold, the days come, saith the Lord Jehovah, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of Jehovah.And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east; they shall run to and fro to seek the word of Jehovah, and shall not find it.In that day shall the fair virgins and the young men faint for thirst.
