島嶼之眾、宜緘口於我前、列國之民、當補其力、進而致詞、爾我共同辯論、

“ Be silent before me, you islands! Let the nations renew their strength! Let them come forward and speak; let us meet together at the place of judgment.

The Lord says,“ People who live on the islands, come and stand quietly in front of me. Let the nations gain new strength in order to state their case. Let them come forward and speak. Let us go to court and find out who is right.

“ Listen in silence before me, you lands beyond the sea. Bring your strongest arguments. Come now and speak. The court is ready for your case.

“ Be silent before me, coasts and islands! And let peoples renew their strength. Let them approach; let them testify; let’s come together for the trial.

“ Listen to Me in silence, you coastlands, And let the peoples gain new strength; Let them come forward, then let them speak; Let’s come together for judgment.

“ Keep silence before Me, O coastlands, And let the people renew their strength! Let them come near, then let them speak; Let us come near together for judgment.

Keep silence before me, O islands; and let the peoples renew their strength: let them come near; then let them speak; let us come near together to judgment.

“ Be silent before Me, islands! And let peoples renew their strength. Let them approach, then let them testify; let us come together for the trial.

“ Come now, let us reason together, says the Lord: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool.

But the Lord is in his holy temple; let all the earth keep silence before him.”

Be silent, all flesh, before the Lord, for he has roused himself from his holy dwelling.

Hear what the Lord says: Arise, plead your case before the mountains, and let the hills hear your voice.Hear, you mountains, the indictment of the Lord, and you enduring foundations of the earth, for the Lord has an indictment against his people, and he will contend with Israel.“ O my people, what have I done to you? How have I wearied you? Answer me!

Everyone helps his neighbor and says to his brother,“ Be strong!”The craftsman strengthens the goldsmith, and he who smooths with the hammer him who strikes the anvil, saying of the soldering,“ It is good”; and they strengthen it with nails so that it cannot be moved.

In that day the Lord will extend his hand yet a second time to recover the remnant that remains of his people, from Assyria, from Egypt, from Pathros, from Cush, from Elam, from Shinar, from Hamath, and from the coastlands of the sea.

Draw near, O nations, to hear, and give attention, O peoples! Let the earth hear, and all that fills it; the world, and all that comes from it.

“ Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”

Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruning hooks into spears; let the weak say,“ I am a warrior.”Hasten and come, all you surrounding nations, and gather yourselves there. Bring down your warriors, O Lord.

“ Dress for action like a man; I will question you, and you make it known to me.Will you even put me in the wrong? Will you condemn me that you may be in the right?Have you an arm like God, and can you thunder with a voice like his?“ Adorn yourself with majesty and dignity; clothe yourself with glory and splendor.

Oh, that I knew where I might find him, that I might come even to his seat!I would lay my case before him and fill my mouth with arguments.I would know what he would answer me and understand what he would say to me.Would he contend with me in the greatness of his power? No; he would pay attention to me.There an upright man could argue with him, and I would be acquitted forever by my judge.

Dress for action like a man; I will question you, and you make it known to me.

Draw near to me, hear this: from the beginning I have not spoken in secret, from the time it came to be I have been there.” And now the Lord God has sent me, and his Spirit.

Oh, that I had one to hear me!( Here is my signature! Let the Almighty answer me!) Oh, that I had the indictment written by my adversary!Surely I would carry it on my shoulder; I would bind it on me as a crown;

Be broken, you peoples, and be shattered; give ear, all you far countries; strap on your armor and be shattered; strap on your armor and be shattered.Take counsel together, but it will come to nothing; speak a word, but it will not stand, for God is with us.

Set forth your case, says the Lord; bring your proofs, says the King of Jacob.Let them bring them, and tell us what is to happen. Tell us the former things, what they are, that we may consider them, that we may know their outcome; or declare to us the things to come.

He who vindicates me is near. Who will contend with me? Let us stand up together. Who is my adversary? Let him come near to me.

Listen to me, O coastlands, and give attention, you peoples from afar. The Lord called me from the womb, from the body of my mother he named my name.
