有声音呼喊着：“要在旷野为耶和华预备道路，在沙漠为我们的上帝修直大道。

听啊，有人高喊：“在旷野预备耶和华的道，在沙漠修直我们上帝的路。

有声音呼喊说：“你们要在旷野清理耶和华的路，在沙漠修直我们神的大道。

有声音呼喊着：“要在旷野预备耶和华的道路，在荒漠为我们的神修直大道！

有人聲喊着說：在曠野預備耶和華的路，在沙漠地修平我們神的道。

有聲音呼喊着：「要在曠野為耶和華預備道路，在沙漠為我們的上帝修直大道。

有聲音呼喊說：“你們要在曠野清理耶和華的路，在沙漠修直我們神的大道。

在曠野有聲音呼喊着說：『要豫備永恆主的道路，要在原野修平我們的上帝的大路。

有聲音呼喊著：「要在曠野預備耶和華的道路，在荒漠為我們的神修直大道！

有聲呼云、在於曠野、備耶和華之道、在於荒墟、治我上帝之徑、

野有聲呼云、在彼曠野、備我上帝耶和華之道、直其徑。

有聲呼曰、在曠野備主之路、在沙漠地為我天主修直其道、或作曠野有聲呼曰當備主之路在沙漠地為我天主修直其道

A voice of one calling:“ In the wilderness prepare the way for the Lord; make straight in the desert a highway for our God.

A messenger is calling out,“ In the desert prepare the way for the Lord. Make a straight road through it for our God.

A voice cries:“ In the wilderness prepare the way of the Lord; make straight in the desert a highway for our God.

Listen! It’s the voice of someone shouting,“ Clear the way through the wilderness for the Lord! Make a straight highway through the wasteland for our God!

A voice of one crying out: Prepare the way of the LORD in the wilderness; make a straight highway for our God in the desert.

Behold, I send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, will suddenly come to his temple; and the messenger of the covenant, whom ye desire, behold, he cometh, saith Jehovah of hosts.

Even as it is written in Isaiah the prophet, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, Who shall prepare thy way;The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make ye ready the way of the Lord, Make his paths straight;John came, who baptized in the wilderness and preached the baptism of repentance unto remission of sins.And there went out unto him all the country of Judæa, and all they of Jerusalem; and they were baptized of him in the river Jordan, confessing their sins.

He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said Isaiah the prophet.

Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the great and terrible day of Jehovah come.And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers; lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

Yea and thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Most High: For thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to make ready his ways;To give knowledge of salvation unto his people In the remission of their sins,

And he will say, Cast ye up, cast ye up, prepare the way, take up the stumbling- block out of the way of my people.

in the highpriesthood of Annas and Caiaphas, the word of God came unto John the son of Zacharias in the wilderness.And he came into all the region round about the Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance unto remission of sins;as it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make ye ready the way of the Lord, Make his paths straight.Every valley shall be filled, And every mountain and hill shall be brought low; And the crooked shall become straight, And the rough ways smooth;And all flesh shall see the salvation of God.

And I will make all my mountains a way, and my highways shall be exalted.

Sing unto God, sing praises to his name: Cast up a highway for him that rideth through the deserts; His name is Jehovah; and exult ye before him.

And Jehovah will utterly destroy the tongue of the Egyptian sea; and with his scorching wind will he wave his hand over the River, and will smite it into seven streams, and cause men to march over dryshod.And there shall be a highway for the remnant of his people, that shall remain, from Assyria; like as there was for Israel in the day that he came up out of the land of Egypt.
