耶和華必在他們上方顯現，他的箭矢射出如閃電；主耶和華必吹響號角，乘著南方的暴風前行。

草必枯乾，花必凋零，因為耶和華的氣息吹在其上——這民真是草啊——

我用旋風把他們吹散到他們不認識的萬國去；他們身後的地變得荒涼，無人往來經過，他們使那美好之地成為了廢墟。』」

耶和華的斥責一發，他鼻孔的氣一出，海底就出現，世界的根基也顯露。

在你們的鍋還沒有被荊棘燒熱之前，他就要用旋風，把其中未燒著的和已燒著的一起颳走！

他必以公義審斷貧弱者，以正直裁決世上的卑微人；以口中的杖擊打世界，以嘴裡的氣殺死惡人。

那時，恐懼像風暴那樣臨到，災難像旋風那樣來臨，患難和困苦臨到你們身上。

你們要為他的子孫預備好屠宰場，這是因他們祖先的罪孽；他們絕不會再興起、占有地土、在世上布滿城鎮。」「我必起來攻擊他們！」萬軍之耶和華如此宣告。「我必把巴比倫的名號、餘剩者、子孫後代都剪除！」耶和華如此宣告。

看哪！我要把一個靈放入亞述王裡面，讓他一聽見傳來的風聲就返回本土；我必使他在那裡倒在刀下。』」

又在栽它的日子使它成長，在種它的早晨使它開花，但在疾病和傷痛無可救治的日子裡，收成卻如飛而去。

原來，那焚燒場早已安排好了，是為君王所預備的；它又深又寬，其中充滿了火和許多木柴；耶和華的氣息如同一股硫磺火使它燃燒起來。
