He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth, and its people are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the heavens like a canopy, and spreads them out like a tent to live in.

Have you forgotten Yahweh your Maker, who stretched out the heavens, and laid the foundations of the earth? Do you live in fear continually all day because of the fury of the oppressor, when he prepares to destroy? Where is the fury of the oppressor?

Yes, can any understand the spreading of the clouds, and the thunderings of his pavilion?

When he established the heavens, I was there. When he set a circle on the surface of the deep,

Of old, you laid the foundation of the earth. The heavens are the work of your hands.They will perish, but you will endure. Yes, all of them will wear out like a garment. You will change them like a cloak, and they will be changed.

Yahweh sat enthroned at the Flood. Yes, Yahweh sits as King forever.

“ Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Declare, if you have understanding.Who determined its measures, if you know? Or who stretched the line on it?What were its foundations fastened on? Or who laid its cornerstone,when the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?“ Or who shut up the sea with doors, when it broke out of the womb,when I made clouds its garment, and wrapped it in thick darkness,

He who sits in the heavens will laugh. The Lord will have them in derision.

Behold, the nations are like a drop in a bucket, and are regarded as a speck of dust on a balance. Behold, he lifts up the islands like a very little thing.

The burden of Egypt.“ Behold, Yahweh rides on a swift cloud, and comes to Egypt. The idols of Egypt will tremble at his presence; and the heart of Egypt will melt within it.

A revelation, Yahweh’s word concerning Israel. Yahweh, who stretches out the heavens, and lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him says:

Can you, with him, spread out the sky, which is strong as a cast metal mirror?
