創地之先、已有大道、爾豈未之知、未之聞耶。

爾豈未知乎、豈未聞乎、豈未自始傳於爾乎、豈未俯察地基而自悟乎、

Do you not know? Have you not heard? Has it not been told you from the beginning? Have you not understood since the earth was founded?

諸天宣告神的公義，因為神才是審判者。細拉

「你們這些叛逆的人哪，當記念這事，心志堅定，留心反思！

我親手奠定了大地的根基，我的右手展開了諸天；我一召喚它們，它們就一同立起。

其實神並不是沒有為自己留下證據，因為他常行美善：從天上賜給你們雨水和豐收的季節，使你們食物充足，滿心喜樂。」

實際上，有關神的事，人所能知道的，在他們裡面是清清楚楚的，因為神已經向他們顯明了。原來，自從創世以來，神那不可見的本性，就是他永恆的大能和神性，都藉著所造之物，被人明白、被人看見，以致使人無法推諉。所以人是已經知道神的，但是卻不把他當做神來榮耀他，也不感謝他；相反，他們在思想上變得虛妄，他們無知的心就昏暗了。

那些造它們的、所有依靠它們的，都會像它們那樣。

既然人不願意真正認識神，神就任憑他們存敗壞的理性，去做那些不該做的事。

竟忘記了那造你的耶和華，就是展開諸天、奠定大地根基的那一位；竟終日不斷地懼怕，就是懼怕壓迫者預備行毀滅時的怒火！其實那壓迫者的怒火在哪裡呢？

枝條枯乾時，必被折斷，婦女要來，拿去燒火。因為這百姓愚昧，所以造他們的必不憐憫他們，塑造他們的必不恩待他們。

他們追求的只是灰燼；他們的心受了迷惑，使他們偏離正道；他們不能救自己，也不會說：「我右手中的，難道不是虛謊之物嗎？」

這樣說來，猶太人有什麼優越呢？割禮有什麼益處呢？在各方面都有很多。首要的，是神的話語確實委託給他們了。

諸天述說神的榮耀，穹蒼宣告他手的作為。這日到那日湧出言語，這夜到那夜陳述知識。無言無語，無聲無息。但它們的聲音傳遍全地，它們的言語傳到地極。神在它們中間為太陽安設帳篷，太陽如同新郎出洞房，又如勇士歡然奔路。
