此外又說：「主啊，太初你奠立大地的根基，親手創造諸天。天地都要消亡，但你永遠長存。天地都會像衣服漸漸破舊，你要像捲外衣一樣把天地捲起來。天地將如衣服一樣被更換，但你永遠不變，你的年日永無窮盡。」

那時耶和華還沒有造大地和原野，還沒有造一粒塵土。祂鋪設諸天的時候，我已在場。祂在深淵上畫出地平線，上使穹蒼堅固，下使深淵的泉源安穩，

我又看見一個白色的大寶座和坐在上面的那位。在祂面前，天地都逃避了，消失得無影無蹤。

「你能測度上帝的深奧，探索全能者的極限嗎？那可比諸天還高，你能做什麼？那可比陰間還深，你能知道什麼？那可比大地還寬廣，比海洋還遼闊。

你身披光華如披外袍，你鋪展穹蒼如鋪幔子。你在水中設立自己樓閣的棟樑。你以雲彩為車駕，乘風飛馳。

祂定下風的重量，量出水的規模；
