好讓我們這些逃難的人、藉這兩件不可更改的事、就是上帝所不能撒謊的、得強有力的鼓勵，去抓住那擺在我們前頭的指望。

因着信、挪亞得了神諭關於還未看到的事，就動了虔敬的心而建備樓船、來救他的家，便藉着信而定了那世代的罪，自己也承受了依信而稱的義。

那時我的人民必住在平安的莊舍，安然無懼之住處，優游自得的安居所，雖則樹林都完全倒下來，京城都全毁為平地。

他們必不再餓，也不再渴；日頭或一切炎熱必不燒着他們；
