於是郇山之室、民會之處、榮光焜耀、耶和華必加護衛、晝蔽以雲、夜燭以火、

蓋主震怒、嚴行審鞫、加以除滅、洗滌郇女之污、除淨耶路撒冷民殺人流血之罪、

The Lord will wash away the filth of the women of Zion; he will cleanse the bloodstains from Jerusalem by a spirit of judgment and a spirit of fire.

The Lord will wash away the sin of the women in Zion. He will clean up the blood that was spilled there. He will judge those who spilled that blood. His burning anger will blaze out at them.

“ But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner’s fire And like launderers’ soap.He will sit as a refiner and a purifier of silver; He will purify the sons of Levi, And purge them as gold and silver, That they may offer to the Lord An offering in righteousness.

“ Son of man, the house of Israel has become dross to Me; they are all bronze, tin, iron, and lead, in the midst of a furnace; they have become dross from silver.Therefore thus says the Lord GOD:‘ Because you have all become dross, therefore behold, I will gather you into the midst of Jerusalem.As men gather silver, bronze, iron, lead, and tin into the midst of a furnace, to blow fire on it, to melt it; so I will gather you in My anger and in My fury, and I will leave you there and melt you.Yes, I will gather you and blow on you with the fire of My wrath, and you shall be melted in its midst.As silver is melted in the midst of a furnace, so shall you be melted in its midst; then you shall know that I, the Lord, have poured out My fury on you.’”

Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols.

“ O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing!

And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:of sin, because they do not believe in Me;of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more;of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.

I will scatter you among the nations, disperse you throughout the countries, and remove your filthiness completely from you.

For a spirit of justice to him who sits in judgment, And for strength to those who turn back the battle at the gate.

Moreover the Lord says:“ Because the daughters of Zion are haughty, And walk with outstretched necks And wanton eyes, Walking and mincing as they go, Making a jingling with their feet,Therefore the Lord will strike with a scab The crown of the head of the daughters of Zion, And the Lord will uncover their secret parts.”In that day the Lord will take away the finery: The jingling anklets, the scarves, and the crescents;The pendants, the bracelets, and the veils;The headdresses, the leg ornaments, and the headbands; The perfume boxes, the charms,and the rings; The nose jewels,the festal apparel, and the mantles; The outer garments, the purses,and the mirrors; The fine linen, the turbans, and the robes.And so it shall be: Instead of a sweet smell there will be a stench; Instead of a sash, a rope; Instead of well-set hair, baldness; Instead of a rich robe, a girding of sackcloth; And branding instead of beauty.Your men shall fall by the sword, And your mighty in the war.Her gates shall lament and mourn, And she being desolate shall sit on the ground.

Come, my people, enter your chambers, And shut your doors behind you; Hide yourself, as it were, for a little moment, Until the indignation is past.For behold, the Lord comes out of His place To punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity; The earth will also disclose her blood, And will no more cover her slain.

For every warrior’s sandal from the noisy battle, And garments rolled in blood, Will be used for burning and fuel of fire.

The strong shall be as tinder, And the work of it as a spark; Both will burn together, And no one shall quench them.

“ In that day a fountain shall be opened for the house of David and for the inhabitants of Jerusalem, for sin and for uncleanness.

“ And when I passed by you and saw you struggling in your own blood, I said to you in your blood,‘ Live!’ Yes, I said to you in your blood,‘ Live!’I made you thrive like a plant in the field; and you grew, matured, and became very beautiful. Your breasts were formed, your hair grew, but you were naked and bare.“ When I passed by you again and looked upon you, indeed your time was the time of love; so I spread My wing over you and covered your nakedness. Yes, I swore an oath to you and entered into a covenant with you, and you became Mine,” says the Lord God.“ Then I washed you in water; yes, I thoroughly washed off your blood, and I anointed you with oil.

“ For behold, the day is coming, Burning like an oven, And all the proud, yes, all who do wickedly will be stubble. And the day which is coming shall burn them up,” Says the Lord of hosts,“ That will leave them neither root nor branch.

I will deliver you from all your uncleannesses. I will call for the grain and multiply it, and bring no famine upon you.

Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and was standing before the Angel.Then He answered and spoke to those who stood before Him, saying,“ Take away the filthy garments from him.” And to him He said,“ See, I have removed your iniquity from you, and I will clothe you with rich robes.”

When you spread out your hands, I will hide My eyes from you; Even though you make many prayers, I will not hear. Your hands are full of blood.

For her blood is in her midst; She set it on top of a rock; She did not pour it on the ground, To cover it with dust.That it may raise up fury and take vengeance, I have set her blood on top of a rock, That it may not be covered.”‘ Therefore thus says the Lord GOD:“ Woe to the bloody city! I too will make the pyre great.Heap on the wood, Kindle the fire; Cook the meat well, Mix in the spices, And let the cuts be burned up.“ Then set the pot empty on the coals, That it may become hot and its bronze may burn, That its filthiness may be melted in it, That its scum may be consumed.She has grown weary with lies, And her great scum has not gone from her. Let her scum be in the fire!In your filthiness is lewdness. Because I have cleansed you, and you were not cleansed, You will not be cleansed of your filthiness anymore, Till I have caused My fury to rest upon you.I, the Lord, have spoken it; It shall come to pass, and I will do it; I will not hold back, Nor will I spare, Nor will I relent; According to your ways And according to your deeds They will judge you,” Says the Lord God.’”

I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.His winnowing fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clean out His threshing floor, and gather His wheat into the barn; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”

Woe to her who is rebellious and polluted, To the oppressing city!

Her uncleanness is in her skirts; She did not consider her destiny; Therefore her collapse was awesome; She had no comforter.“ O Lord, behold my affliction, For the enemy is exalted!”
