“ Come! Let’s return to Yahweh; for he has torn us to pieces, and he will heal us; he has injured us, and he will bind up our wounds.After two days he will revive us. On the third day he will raise us up, and we will live before him.

Moreover Hezekiah the king and the princes commanded the Levites to sing praises to Yahweh with the words of David, and of Asaph the seer. They sang praises with gladness, and they bowed their heads and worshiped.

“ See now that I myself am he. There is no god with me. I kill and I make alive. I wound and I heal. There is no one who can deliver out of my hand.

Then Jonah prayed to Yahweh, his God, out of the fish’s belly.He said,“ I called because of my affliction to Yahweh. He answered me. Out of the belly of Sheol I cried. Salvation belongs to Yahweh.”

In that day you will say,“ I will give thanks to you, Yahweh; for though you were angry with me, your anger has turned away and you comfort me.Behold, God is my salvation. I will trust, and will not be afraid; for Yah, Yahweh, is my strength and song; and he has become my salvation.”Therefore with joy you will draw water out of the wells of salvation.In that day you will say,“ Give thanks to Yahweh! Call on his name. Declare his doings among the peoples. Proclaim that his name is exalted!Sing to Yahweh, for he has done excellent things! Let this be known in all the earth!Cry aloud and shout, you inhabitant of Zion; for the Holy One of Israel is great among you!”

You have turned my mourning into dancing for me. You have removed my sackcloth, and clothed me with gladness,to the end that my heart may sing praise to you, and not be silent. Yahweh my God, I will give thanks to you forever!

The deeps were congealed in the heart of the sea.The enemy said,‘ I will pursue. I will overtake. I will divide the plunder. My desire will be satisfied on them. I will draw my sword. Yes, the clouds dropped water.The mountains quaked Yahweh’s presence, even Sinai at the presence of Yahweh, the God of Israel.“ In the days of Shamgar the son of Anath, in the days of Jael, the highways were unoccupied. The travelers walked through byways.The rulers ceased in Israel. They ceased until I, Deborah, arose; Until I arose a mother in Israel.They chose new gods. Then war was in the gates. Was there a shield or spear seen among forty thousand in Israel?My heart is toward the governors of Israel, who offered themselves willingly among the people. Bless Yahweh!“ Speak, you who ride on white donkeys, you who sit on rich carpets, and you who walk by the way.Far from the noise of archers, in the places of drawing water, there they will rehearse Yahweh’s righteous acts, the righteous acts of his rule in Israel.“ Then Yahweh’s people went down to the gates.‘ Awake, awake, Deborah! By the watercourses of Reuben, there were great resolves of heart.Why did you sit among the sheepfolds? To hear the whistling for the flocks? At the watercourses of Reuben, there were great searchings of heart.Gilead lived beyond the Jordan. Why did Dan remain in ships? Asher sat still at the haven of the sea, and lived by his creeks.Zebulun was a people that jeopardized their lives to the death; Naphtali also, on the high places of the field.“ The kings came and fought, then the kings of Canaan fought at Taanach by the waters of Megiddo. They took no plunder of silver.From the sky the stars fought. From their courses, they fought against Sisera.The river Kishon swept them away, that ancient river, the river Kishon. My soul, march on with strength.Then the horse hoofs stamped because of the prancing, the prancing of their strong ones.‘ Curse Meroz,’ said Yahweh’s angel.‘ Curse bitterly its inhabitants, because they didn’t come to help Yahweh, to help Yahweh against the mighty.’“ Jael shall be blessed above women, the wife of Heber the Kenite; blessed shall she be above women in the tent.He asked for water. Hannah prayed, and said:“ My heart exults in Yahweh! My horn is exalted in Yahweh. My mouth is enlarged over my enemies, because I rejoice in your salvation.There is no one as holy as Yahweh, for there is no one besides you, nor is there any rock like our God.“ Don’t keep talking so exceedingly proudly. He brings low, he also lifts up.He raises up the poor out of the dust. He lifts up the needy from the dunghill to make them sit with princes and inherit the throne of glory. For the pillars of the earth are Yahweh’s. He has set the world on them.He will keep the feet of his holy ones, but the wicked will be put to silence in darkness; for no man will prevail by strength.Those who strive with Yahweh shall be broken to pieces. He will thunder against them in the sky.“ Yahweh will judge the ends of the earth. He will give strength to his king, and exalt the horn of his anointed.”

I love Yahweh, because he listens to my voice, and my cries for mercy.Because he has turned his ear to me, therefore I will call on him as long as I live.The cords of death surrounded me, the pains of Sheol got a hold of me. I found trouble and sorrow.Then I called on Yahweh’s name:“ Yahweh, I beg you, deliver my soul.”

For he wounds and binds up. He injures and his hands make whole.

Fools are afflicted because of their disobedience, and because of their iniquities.Their soul abhors all kinds of food. They draw near to the gates of death.Then they cry to Yahweh in their trouble, he saves them out of their distresses.He sends his word, and heals them, and delivers them from their graves.Let them praise Yahweh for his loving kindness, for his wonderful deeds to the children of men!Let them offer the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his deeds with singing.
