This shall be the sign to you from Yahweh, that Yahweh will do this thing that he has spoken.

主必驗所言、有一事可以為徵、

“‘ This is the Lord’s sign to you that the Lord will do what he has promised:

“‘ “Here is a sign from me. It will show you that I will heal you, just as I promised I would.

“ This shall be the sign to you from the Lord, that the Lord will do this thing that he has promised:

“‘ And this is the sign from the Lord to prove that he will do as he promised:

This is the sign to you from the LORD that he will do what he has promised:

“ And this shall be the sign to you from the Lord, that the Lord will perform this word that He has spoken:

And this is the sign to you from the Lord, that the Lord will do this thing which He has spoken:

And this shall be the sign unto thee from Jehovah, that Jehovah will do this thing that he hath spoken:

This is the sign to you from the Lord that He will do what He has promised:

And this[ shall be] a sign unto thee from the LORD, that the LORD will do this thing that he hath spoken;

Isaiah replied,“ This is your sign from the LORD confirming that the LORD will do what he has said:

behold, I will put a fleece of wool on the threshing floor. If there is dew on the fleece only, and it is dry on all the ground, then I’ll know that you will save Israel by my hand, as you have spoken.”It was so; for he rose up early on the next day, and pressed the fleece together, and wrung the dew out of the fleece, a bowl full of water.Gideon said to God,“ Don’t let your anger be kindled against me, and I will speak but this once. Please let me make a trial just this once with the fleece. Let it now be dry only on the fleece, and on all the ground let there be dew.”

“‘ This shall be the sign to you. You will eat this year that which grows of itself, and in the second year that which springs from it; and in the third year sow and reap and plant vineyards, and eat their fruit.

I set my rainbow in the cloud, and it will be a sign of a covenant between me and the earth.

He said to him,“ If now I have found favor in your sight, then show me a sign that it is you who talk with me.Please don’t go away until I come to you, and bring out my present, and lay it before you.” He said,“ I will wait until you come back.”Gideon went in and prepared a young goat and unleavened cakes of an ephah of meal. He put the meat in a basket and he put the broth in a pot, and brought it out to him under the oak, and presented it.The angel of God said to him,“ Take the meat and the unleavened cakes, and lay them on this rock, and pour out the broth.” He did so.Then Yahweh’s angel stretched out the end of the staff that was in his hand, and touched the meat and the unleavened cakes; and fire went up out of the rock and consumed the meat and the unleavened cakes. Then Yahweh’s angel departed out of his sight.Gideon saw that he was Yahweh’s angel; and Gideon said,“ Alas, Lord Yahweh! Because I have seen Yahweh’s angel face to face!”

Hezekiah said to Isaiah,“ What will be the sign that Yahweh will heal me, and that I will go up to Yahweh’s house the third day?”Isaiah said,“ This will be the sign to you from Yahweh, that Yahweh will do the thing that he has spoken: should the shadow go forward ten steps, or go back ten steps?”Hezekiah answered,“ It is a light thing for the shadow to go forward ten steps. No, but let the shadow return backward ten steps.”Isaiah the prophet cried to Yahweh; and he brought the shadow ten steps backward, by which it had gone down on the sundial of Ahaz.At that time Berodach Baladan the son of Baladan, king of Babylon, sent letters and a present to Hezekiah; for he had heard that Hezekiah had been sick.Hezekiah listened to them, and showed them all the storehouse of his precious things, the silver, the gold, the spices, and the precious oil, and the house of his armor, and all that was found in his treasures. There was nothing in his house, or in all his dominion, that Hezekiah didn’t show them.Then Isaiah the prophet came to king Hezekiah, and said to him,“ What did these men say? From where did they come to you?” Hezekiah said,“ They have come from a far country, even from Babylon.”He said,“ What have they seen in your house?” Hezekiah answered,“ They have seen all that is in my house. There is nothing among my treasures that I have not shown them.”Isaiah said to Hezekiah,“ Hear Yahweh’s word.‘ Behold, the days come that all that is in your house, and that which your fathers have laid up in store to this day, will be carried to Babylon. Nothing will be left,’ says Yahweh.‘ They will take away some of your sons who will issue from you, whom you will father; and they will be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.’”Then Hezekiah said to Isaiah,“ Yahweh’s word which you have spoken is good.” He said moreover,“ Isn’t it so, if peace and truth will be in my days?”Now the rest of the acts of Hezekiah, and all his might, and how he made the pool, and the conduit, and brought water into the city, aren’t they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?Hezekiah slept with his fathers, and Manasseh his son reigned in his place.

“ Ask a sign of Yahweh your God; ask it either in the depth, or in the height above.”But Ahaz said,“ I won’t ask. I won’t tempt Yahweh.”He said,“ Listen now, house of David. Is it not enough for you to try the patience of men, that you will try the patience of my God also?Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin will conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Hezekiah also had said,“ What is the sign that I will go up to Yahweh’s house?”
