Lord, by such things people live; and my spirit finds life in them too. You restored me to health and let me live.

Lord, people find the will to live because you keep your promises. And my spirit also finds life in your promises. You brought me back to health. You let me live.

O Lord, by these things men live, and in all these is the life of my spirit. Oh restore me to health and make me live!

Lord, your discipline is good, for it leads to life and health. You restore my health and allow me to live!

他磨炼你，任你饥饿，将你和你列祖所不认识的吗哪赐给你吃，使你知道，人活着，不是单靠食物，乃是靠耶和华口里所出的一切话。

“人在床上被疼痛惩治，骨头不住地挣扎，以致生命厌弃食物，心中厌恶美味。他的肉消瘦，难以看见；先前看不见的骨头都凸出来。他的性命临近地府，他的生命挨近灭命者。一千天使中，若有一个作传话的临到他，指示人所当行的事，神就施恩给他，说：‘要救赎他免得下入地府，我已经得了赎价。他的肉要比孩童的肉更嫩；他就返老还童。’他向神祷告，神就悦纳他；他必欢呼朝见神的面，因神恢复他的义。他在人前歌唱说：‘我犯了罪，颠倒是非，却没有受该得的报应。神救赎我的性命免入地府，我的生命也必见光。’

你是叫我多经历重大急难的，必使我再活过来，从地的深处救我上来。

我们受审判的时候，就是被主管教，这样就免得和世人一同被定罪。

我们这短暂而轻微的苦楚要为我们成就极重、无比、永远的荣耀。

肉身之父都是短时间随己意管教我们，惟有灵性之父管教我们是要我们得益处，使我们在他的圣洁上有份。凡管教的事，当时不觉得快乐，反觉得痛苦；后来却为那经过锻炼的人结出平安的果子，就是义的果子。

我的性命几乎归于尘土，求你照你的话将我救活！

耶稣却回答说：“经上记着：‘人活着，不是单靠食物，乃是靠神口里所出的一切话。’”

你迎见那欢喜行义、记念你道的人；看哪，你曾发怒，因我们犯了罪；这景况已久，我们还能得救吗？
