Lord, by such things people live; and my spirit finds life in them too. You restored me to health and let me live.

Lord, people find the will to live because you keep your promises. And my spirit also finds life in your promises. You brought me back to health. You let me live.

O Lord, by these things men live, and in all these is the life of my spirit. Oh restore me to health and make me live!

Lord, your discipline is good, for it leads to life and health. You restore my health and allow me to live!

他苦炼你，任你饥饿，将你和你列祖所不认识的吗哪赐给你吃，使你知道，人活着不是单靠食物，乃是靠耶和华口里所出的一切话。

“人在床上被惩治，骨头中不住地疼痛，以致他的口厌弃食物，心厌恶美味。他的肉消瘦，不得再见；先前不见的骨头都凸出来。他的灵魂临近深坑；他的生命近于灭命的。一千天使中，若有一个作传话的与神同在，指示人所当行的事，神就给他开恩，说：‘救赎他免得下坑；我已经得了赎价。’他的肉要比孩童的肉更嫩；他就返老还童。他祷告神，神就喜悦他，使他欢呼朝见神的面；神又看他为义。他在人前歌唱说：‘我犯了罪，颠倒是非，这竟与我无益。神救赎我的灵魂免入深坑；我的生命也必见光。’

你是叫我们多经历重大急难的，必使我们复活，从地的深处救上来。

我们受审的时候，乃是被主惩治，免得我们和世人一同定罪。

我们这至暂至轻的苦楚，要为我们成就极重无比、永远的荣耀。

生身的父都是暂随己意管教我们；惟有万灵的父管教我们，是要我们得益处，使我们在他的圣洁上有份。凡管教的事，当时不觉得快乐，反觉得愁苦；后来却为那经练过的人结出平安的果子，就是义。

我的性命几乎归于尘土；求你照你的话将我救活！

耶稣却回答说：“经上记着说：‘人活着，不是单靠食物，乃是靠神口里所出的一切话。’”

你迎接那欢喜行义、记念你道的人；你曾发怒，我们仍犯罪；这景况已久，我们还能得救吗？
