Lord, by such things people live; and my spirit finds life in them too. You restored me to health and let me live.

Lord, people find the will to live because you keep your promises. And my spirit also finds life in your promises. You brought me back to health. You let me live.

O Lord, by these things men live, and in all these is the life of my spirit. Oh restore me to health and make me live!

Lord, your discipline is good, for it leads to life and health. You restore my health and allow me to live!

祂让你们忍饥挨饿，然后赐给你们祖祖辈辈从未见过的吗哪吃，为了使你们明白人活着不是单靠食物，乃是靠祂口中的每一句话。

“人因受罚而卧病在床，骨头疼痛不止，以致毫无食欲，对佳肴心生厌恶。他日渐消瘦，只剩下骨头。他的灵魂临近深坑，他的生命濒临死亡。如果一千天使中有一位能做他的中保，指示他当行的事，上帝就会怜悯他，说，‘别让他下坟墓，我已得到他的赎金。’那时，他的皮肉将嫩如孩童，他将恢复青春的活力。他向上帝祷告时必蒙悦纳，他欢呼着朝见上帝，再度被祂视为义人。他会当众歌唱说，‘我犯了罪，颠倒是非，祂却没有按我的罪报应我。祂救赎我的灵魂，使之免下深坑，使我的生命得见光明。’

你使我经历了许多患难，最终必使我重获新生，救我脱离死亡的深渊。

主审判我们，是对我们的管教，免得我们和世人一同被定罪。

我们这短暂轻微的苦难正在为我们成就极大无比、永远的荣耀。

我们的生身父亲是按自己以为好的标准暂时管教我们，但上帝是为了我们的益处而管教我们，使我们可以在祂的圣洁上有份。被管教的滋味绝不好受，当时都很痛苦，但事后那些受过管教的人会收获公义和平安的果子。

我几乎性命不保，求你照你的应许救我的性命。

耶稣回答说：“圣经上说，‘人活着不是单靠食物，乃是靠上帝口中的每一句话。’”

你眷顾乐于行义、遵行你旨意的人。我们不断地犯罪惹你发怒，我们怎能得救呢？
