I waited patiently till dawn, but like a lion he broke all my bones; day and night you made an end of me.

The king gave another order, and those men who had maliciously accused Daniel were brought and thrown into the lions’ den– they, their children, and their wives. They did not even reach the bottom of the den before the lions overpowered them and crushed all their bones.

Please stop wounding me! You have almost beaten me to death!

As the prophet from Judah was traveling, a lion attacked him on the road and killed him. His corpse was lying on the road, and the donkey and the lion just stood there beside it.Some men came by and saw the corpse lying in the road with the lion standing beside it. They went and reported what they had seen in the city where the old prophet lived.When the old prophet who had invited him to his house heard the news, he said,“ It is the prophet who rebelled against the LORD. The LORD delivered him over to the lion and it ripped him up and killed him, just as the LORD warned him.”

Carefully consider this, you who reject God! Otherwise I will rip you to shreds and no one will be able to rescue you.

That is why many of you are weak and sick, and quite a few are dead.But if we examined ourselves, we would not be judged.But when we are judged by the Lord, we are disciplined so that we may not be condemned with the world.
