Like a shepherd’s tent my house has been pulled down and taken from me. Like a weaver I have rolled up my life, and he has cut me off from the loom; day and night you made an end of me.

你必將天地捲起來像外袍，天地就像衣裳改變了；惟獨你永遠一樣，你的年歲必無窮盡』。

因為我終日不斷地受災害，我每日早晨都被懲罰。

我們知道我們這地上的帳篷式房屋若拆毁了，我們就可以從上帝得到建築物，非人手造的、永世的在天上的房屋。

雖有公侯坐着攻訐我，你僕人卻默想着你的律例。

願上帝喜歡把我壓碎，但願他鬆手將我剪掉。

他長出如花草，又被割下；他飛去如影兒，並不停留。

我以為儘我還在這帳幕的時候，以提醒來激發你們、是正當的。因為知道我這帳幕脫卸的時候快到了，正如我們主耶穌基督所指示我的。

我們在這帳篷裏的人呻吟歎息，背負重擔，並非意願脫下，乃是願意多穿上一件，好叫這能死的給生命所吞滅。

我的年日如同日影偏斜；我，我正如草枯乾。

我，我曾着急地說：『我被割絕、離開你眼前；』然而我向你呼救時，你仍聽我懇求的聲音。

那裏必永無居民，世世代代無人居住；遊牧民族不在那裏搭帳棚；牧羊的人不使羊羣躺在那裏。

然而明天的事你們還不知道呢！你們的生命甚麼樣呢？你們簡直是水氣，出現少時，隨後就不見了。

照樣子、我也有虛空之歲月遺傳於我，有苦難之夜分派給我。我躺臥時、總說：「我甚麼時候才可以起來？」黑夜漫長；我翻來翻去、足足翻到天亮。我的肉身披戴着蛆蟲和塵土塊；我的爛皮才結了痂，又再流膿。我的日子比梭還快，都消耗於無指望中。『你要記得、我的性命只是一口氣；我的眼不會再見福樂。

他使我的力量中途衰弱，他把我的年日截短了，以致我說：『我的上帝啊，不要使我於中年灰化上升哦！你的年歲代代無窮。』

僅存的錫安小姐就像葡萄園中的草棚，瓜田中的茅舍，被圍困的城市。

早晚之間他們就被打碎，無人理會，永遠死滅。

我的生氣斷絕了，我的年日消盡了，所留給我的只有墳地。

你截短了他青年的日子，使他披上羞愧。（細拉）永恆主啊，要到幾時呢？你要永久隱藏麼？你的烈怒要像火焚燒麼？主啊，求你記得人的一生是怎麼樣；你創造全人類使他們何等的虛空！（細拉）
