In those days Hezekiah became ill and was at the point of death. The prophet Isaiah son of Amoz went to him and said,“ This is what the Lord says: Put your house in order, because you are going to die; you will not recover.”

In those days Hezekiah became very sick. He knew he was about to die. Isaiah went to see him. Isaiah was the son of Amoz. Isaiah told Hezekiah,“ The Lord says,‘ Put everything in order. Make out your will. You are going to die soon. You will not get well again.’ ”

亞希多弗見自己的建議沒有被採納，就給驢子備上鞍，起身回本鄉本家去。他安排好家裡的事，然後上吊死了。他被葬在他父親的墳墓裡。

神看到他們所行的——從邪惡的道路上轉回了，神就施憐憫，沒有降下原先所說的要降在他們身上的災禍。

約拿開始進入那城，走了一天的路程，宣告說：「再過四十天，尼尼微就要覆滅了。」

就在那些日子裡，她患病死了。人們清洗了遺體，就放在樓上的房間。

亞摩斯的兒子以賽亞就派人到希西加那裡，說：「以色列的神耶和華如此說：『有關亞述王西納基立的事，你既然向我祈求了，

於是先知以賽亞來到希西加王那裡，問他：「那些人說了什麼？他們是從哪裡來見你的？」希西加回答：「他們是從遙遠之地巴比倫來見我的。」以賽亞問：「在你的家中他們看了什麼？」希西加回答：「我家中的所有東西，他們都看了；庫房中的一切，我沒有一樣不給他們看。」

有一個叫拉撒路的病人，住在伯大尼，就是瑪麗亞和她的姐姐瑪妲住的村子。這瑪麗亞就是用香液膏抹主，又用自己的頭髮擦他腳的那一個。是她的弟弟拉撒路患了病。姐妹倆派人到耶穌那裡說：「主啊，你看，你所愛的人患了病。」耶穌聽了就說：「這病不至於死，而是為了神的榮耀，好使神的兒子由此得榮耀。」耶穌一向愛瑪妲和她的妹妹，以及拉撒路。

事實上，他雖然患了病幾乎死去，可是神憐憫了他；不僅憐憫他，也憐憫了我，免得我憂上加憂。所以，我就更迫切地派他去，好讓你們見到他，能夠再次歡喜，而我也可以少些掛慮。因此，你們要在主裡滿懷喜樂地歡迎他，也要敬重這樣的人，因為他為了基督的工作，幾乎至死，冒了生命的危險，為要彌補你們服事我的缺乏。

凡是你手當做的，你都當極力去做；因為在你必去的陰間沒有工作，沒有籌劃，沒有知識，也沒有智慧。

猶大王烏西雅、約坦、亞哈斯、希西加年間，亞摩斯的兒子以賽亞所看到的異象，是關於猶大和耶路撒冷的：

他派遣宮廷總管以利亞敬、書記舍伯納和祭司中年長的，個個披上麻布，到亞摩斯的兒子先知以賽亞那裡。
