當舉旌旆於斯土、吹角於民間、使列邦攻之、會集亞喇臘、米尼、亞實基拿人、立武夫長、使驍騎咸至、若蝗眾多。

希西家言、爾必見拯於耶和華、爾勿聽焉、四方民所事之上帝、豈得救其國、脫於亞述王手乎、

陰府震動、待爾速下、幽冥之眾、莫不騷然、昔居民上、為國之王者、見爾臨格、離座而起、

訕耶路撒冷之上帝、與訕人手所作列邦之上帝無異。

耶和華遣使至亞述王營壘、滅諸勁旅、與武士長、亞述王恥之、遄歸故土、入其上帝殿、為子所弒。

當告猶大王希西家云、爾所恃之上帝、曾言耶路撒冷必不陷於亞述王、勿為所誘、

希西家使爾恃耶和華、望其拯爾、及爾城垣、不付於亞述王手、

我列祖殲滅四國、其中皆有上帝、孰一能救其民於我手、則爾上帝、焉能援爾於我手。

爾素為明星、今乃隕自天、昔則敗列國、今乃見滅絕、

亞述王西拿基立遂歸尼尼微、值崇拜於其上帝溺落之殿、其子亞得米勒沙哩斯弒之、遁於亞喇臘國、更有一子、以撒哈頓繼位。
