Then the angel of the Lord went out and put to death a hundred and eighty- five thousand in the Assyrian camp. When the people got up the next morning— there were all the dead bodies!

Then the angel of the Lord went into the camp of the Assyrians. He put to death 185,000 soldiers there. The people of Jerusalem got up the next morning. They looked out and saw all the dead bodies.

And the angel of the Lord went out and struck down 185,000 in the camp of the Assyrians. And when people arose early in the morning, behold, these were all dead bodies.

That night the angel of the Lord went out to the Assyrian camp and killed 185,000 Assyrian soldiers. When the surviving Assyrians woke up the next morning, they found corpses everywhere.

Then the angel of the LORD went out and struck down one hundred eighty-five thousand in the camp of the Assyrians. When the people got up the next morning, there were all the dead bodies!

主曰、我降災於郇山、及耶路撒冷、既畢其事、我必伐亞述王、汰其驕心、去其抑視。

天使在耶路撒冷、舉手欲擊都城、耶和華怒息、諭勦民之天使曰、足矣、可止爾手。其時天使在耶布士人。亞勞拿之穀場。

亞述人將殞沒、非人禍之也、彼必遁逃、若避利刃、彼之丁壯、淪胥以亡、

耶和華遣使至亞述王營壘、滅諸勁旅、與武士長、亞述王恥之、遄歸故土、入其上帝殿、為子所弒。於是耶和華拯希西家及耶路撒冷民、脫於亞述王西拿基立手、隨在護之、脫於諸敵。

我萬有之主耶和華、赫兮煊兮、伐其巨枝、折其雄幹、使高者降為卑、持其斧斤、斬其林木、使豪傑之士盡斫利巴嫩之樹。

異邦喧譁、列國震動、上帝行雷、天下喪膽兮。萬有之主、雅各之上帝耶和華、祐予衛予兮。試觀耶和華所為、降異災於天下兮、斷弓折戈、車爇以火、使在寰宇、人不興戎兮、告人曰、當息干戈、以我為上帝、天下異邦、咸欽崇我兮。萬有之主雅各之上帝耶和華、祐予衛予兮。

故萬有之主將使肥健之人、變為瘦瘠、尊榮之輩、爇以烈火、以色列族至聖之主、輝光遠燭、勢若焰火、一日間必毀亞述人、若焚荊棘、茂林良田、俱遭焚燬、中有餘木、其數惟寡、小子可稽察之、亞述王身必喪、命必絕、如病者之漸痿、

耶和華震怒諸敵、勢若烈火、颶風雨雹、行潦驟至、霹靂遙聞、異跡立見、昔亞述人擊民、耶和華必以雷殛之、昔耶和華以亞述人為杖箠、以擊斯民、厥後亞述之人、戰鬥敗績、民將鼓琴彈瑟不已、自古以來、欲罰亞述國王在彼陀法、為備坎阱、其深無量、其廣無垠、積薪無數、望之若臺、焚之以火、耶和華之氣若硫磺、使烈燄四熾焉。

是夜比戶皆有死亡、號泣之聲、遍聞埃及、法老與臣民悉起。

勃然而興、不久逝世、與眾無異、譬諸田禾、既稔而刈。

蓋耶和華將遍行通國、擊埃及人、見楣橛釁血、必逾越其門、不容殘賊者入擊爾曹。

願彼遁逃、猶之秕糠、為風飄揚、耶和華之使、俾其隕越兮、其途幽暗、滑而難行、為耶和華之使驅逐兮。

猛毅之人、喪敗而長眠、英武之士、其力廢弛兮。雅各之上帝兮、加以譴責、馬與乘者、淹然而就死地兮。爾有威可畏、厥怒奮揚、莫能禦兮、

曰、作惡者歡呼、弗能恆久、偽善者喜樂、不過俄傾。雖峻極於天、昂頭雲外、終亦必亡、與糞壤同腐、素見之者、必曰其人安在。

大闢見耶和華之使者、立於空中、拔刃在手、直指耶路撒冷、則率長老、俱衣麻服、俯伏於地。

蓋爾詳知主日將至、猶盜乘夜猝來、人自謂平康安固、而禍突至、猶妊婦劬勞、其人不得免、

耶和華曰、我將勃興、顯我巨力、彰我大能、敵之氣燄、如火之烈、災及其身、譬彼懷妊、所孕者秕糠、所產者草芥、我燬其軍旅、若陶人之煮灰、猶刈荊棘、焚之以火、

希律不歸榮上帝、主之使者遂鑿之、為蟲所噬而氣絕、○
