“ Therefore thus says the Lord concerning the king of Assyria:‘ He shall not come into this city, Nor shoot an arrow there, Nor come before it with shield, Nor build a siege mound against it.

至于亚述王，耶和华说，‘他必不能进城或向这里射一箭，必不能手持盾牌兵临城下或修筑攻城的高台。

所以耶和华这样论到亚述王，说：‘他必不会来到这城，也不会在这里射箭；不会拿着盾牌来到城前，也不会筑土垒攻城。

“因此，耶和华论到亚述王如此说：‘他必不进入这城，也不在这里射箭；他必不拿着盾牌兵临城下，也不筑起土垒攻城；

故耶和華指亞述王曰、彼必不至此城、不射一矢於彼、不執干至其前、不築壘以攻之、

遂指亞述王、語民曰、彼必不入此城、不以干戈弓矢陳於前、不築壘以攻擊、

故主論亞述王曰、彼必不入此城、不射矢於其中、不執干戈至於其前、不築壘以攻之、

“ Therefore this is what the Lord says concerning the king of Assyria:“ He will not enter this city or shoot an arrow here. He will not come before it with shield or build a siege ramp against it.

“ Here is a message from me about the king of Assyria. I say,“‘ He will not enter this city. He will not even shoot an arrow at it. He will not come near it with a shield. He will not build a ramp in order to climb over its walls.

“ Therefore thus says the Lord concerning the king of Assyria: He shall not come into this city or shoot an arrow there or come before it with a shield or cast up a siege mound against it.

“ And this is what the Lord says about the king of Assyria:“‘ His armies will not enter Jerusalem. They will not even shoot an arrow at it. They will not march outside its gates with their shields nor build banks of earth against its walls.

“ Therefore, this is what the LORD says about the king of Assyria: He will not enter this city, shoot an arrow here, come before it with a shield, or build up a siege ramp against it.

“ Therefore, this is what the Lord says about the king of Assyria:‘ He will not come to this city nor shoot an arrow there; and he will not come before it with a shield, nor heap up an assault ramp against it.

Therefore thus saith Jehovah concerning the king of Assyria, He shall not come unto this city, nor shoot an arrow there, neither shall he come before it with shield, nor cast up a mound against it.

“ Therefore, this is what the Lord says about the king of Assyria: He will not enter this city or shoot an arrow there or come before it with a shield or build up an assault ramp against it.

Therefore thus saith the LORD concerning the king of Assyria, He shall not come into this city, nor shoot an arrow there, nor come before it with shields, nor cast a bank against it.

So this is what the LORD says about the king of Assyria:‘ He will not enter this city, nor will he shoot an arrow here. He will not attack it with his shielded warriors, nor will he build siege works against it.

“ Therefore Yahweh says concerning the king of Assyria,‘ He will not come to this city, nor shoot an arrow there, neither will he come before it with shield, nor cast up a mound against it.

As yet he will remain at Nob that day; He will shake his fist at the mount of the daughter of Zion, The hill of Jerusalem.Behold, the Lord, The Lord of hosts, Will lop off the bough with terror; Those of high stature will be hewn down, And the haughty will be humbled.He will cut down the thickets of the forest with iron, And Lebanon will fall by the Mighty One.

In his right hand is the divination for Jerusalem: to set up battering rams, to call for a slaughter, to lift the voice with shouting, to set battering rams against the gates, to heap up a siege mound, and to build a wall.

“ Therefore thus says the Lord concerning the king of Assyria:‘ He shall not come into this city, Nor shoot an arrow there, Nor come before it with shield, Nor build a siege mound against it.By the way that he came, By the same shall he return; And he shall not come into this city,’ Says the Lord.‘ For I will defend this city, to save it For My own sake and for My servant David’s sake.’”And it came to pass on a certain night that the angel of the Lord went out, and killed in the camp of the Assyrians one hundred and eighty-five thousand; and when people arose early in the morning, there were the corpses— all dead.

Look upon Zion, the city of our appointed feasts; Your eyes will see Jerusalem, a quiet home, A tabernacle that will not be taken down; Not one of its stakes will ever be removed, Nor will any of its cords be broken.

Then behold, at eventide, trouble! And before the morning, he is no more. This is the portion of those who plunder us, And the lot of those who rob us.

For days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment around you, surround you and close you in on every side,and level you, and your children within you, to the ground; and they will not leave in you one stone upon another, because you did not know the time of your visitation.”

Woe to the multitude of many people Who make a noise like the roar of the seas, And to the rushing of nations That make a rushing like the rushing of mighty waters!

Now therefore, behold, the Lord brings up over them The waters of the River, strong and mighty— The king of Assyria and all his glory; He will go up over all his channels And go over all his banks.He will pass through Judah, He will overflow and pass over, He will reach up to the neck; And the stretching out of his wings Will fill the breadth of Your land, O Immanuel.“ Be shattered, O you peoples, and be broken in pieces! Give ear, all you from far countries. Gird yourselves, but be broken in pieces; Gird yourselves, but be broken in pieces.Take counsel together, but it will come to nothing; Speak the word, but it will not stand, For God is with us.”
