I will turn you around, put hooks in your jaws, and bring you out with all your army, including horses and riders, who are all splendidly dressed, a huge company armed with shields and bucklers, all of them brandishing swords.

He will go back the way he came, and he will not enter this city. This is the Lord’s declaration.

Have I attacked this land to destroy it without the Lord’s approval? The Lord said to me,‘ Attack this land and destroy it.’”

Can you put a cord through his nose or pierce his jaw with a hook?

The floods have lifted up, Lord, the floods have lifted up their voice; the floods lift up their pounding waves.Greater than the roar of many waters— the mighty breakers of the sea— the Lord on high is majestic.

Do not be like a horse or mule, without understanding, that must be controlled with bit and bridle or else it will not come near you.

Nations rage, kingdoms topple; the earth melts when He lifts His voice.

They listened to him up to this word. Then they raised their voices, shouting,“ Wipe this person off the earth— it’s a disgrace for him to live!”

See how Your enemies make an uproar; those who hate You have acted arrogantly.

Why do the nations rebel and the peoples plot in vain?The kings of the earth take their stand, and the rulers conspire together against the Lord and His Anointed One:“ Let us tear off their chains and free ourselves from their restraints.”

Your adversaries roared in the meeting place where You met with us. They set up their emblems as signs.
