望爾晝夜、垂顧此殿、即爾曾許必為籲名之所、爾僕於此祈禱、爾其俯聞、凡爾僕及以色列民、祈禱於此、望爾在居處之所、自天俯聽、得蒙赦宥。如人與同儕有所干犯、至此殿、發誓於壇前、則爾在天、俯聞其聲、在爾僕中、判其是非、以惡者為惡、罰其罪戾、以義者為義、賞其善行。如爾以色列族之民、獲罪於爾、為敵所敗、厥後心歸乎爾、虔向此殿祈禱、呼籲爾名、則爾在天、俯聞其祈、赦宥爾民、導之至所賜列祖之地。如人獲罪於爾、使天閉塞、雨澤不降、至殿祈禱、呼籲爾名、緣遘患難、去厥罪愆、則爾在天、俯聞其聲、赦宥爾僕、即以色列族之民、指示以善、所錫之地降以膏澤。如於斯地、有飢饉瘟疫、風暴特甚、五穀細弱、如有蝗蟲、食其物產、如有仇敵、困其邑鄉、勿論何災、勿論何害、如以色列族中知其艱苦、不論何事、展舒其手、向斯殿以祈求、則爾在天、居於明宮、俯念厥祈、赦宥其罪、天下人心、惟爾灼知、視其作為、而加報施、使其畢生畏爾、在爾所錫列祖之地。如有賓旅、不屬以色列族、聞爾名譽、知爾大能巨力、自遠方來、至斯殿、祈求於爾、則爾在天、居於明宮、俯聞厥祈、應其所求、使天下億兆、悉知爾名、而畏懼爾、與爾民以色列族無異、亦知我所建之殿、誠為籲爾名之所、如爾國民、奉爾所遣、無論何適、與敵戰鬥時、祈禱於爾、向爾所簡之邑、及我所建之殿、為籲爾名之所、則爾在天、俯聞厥祈、使其獲勝。天下億兆、誰能無過、若民蹈於愆尤、干爾震怒、爾付之於敵、見虜於異邦、無論遠近、如在被虜之地翻然易念、悔改前非、祈求於爾、自陳其過、負罪引慝。一心一意、歸向乎爾、望爾所賜列祖之故土、及爾所簡之邑垣、與我所建之殿、為籲名之所、祈求於爾、則爾在天、居於明宮、俯聞所祈、俾其得救、赦其罪愆。望我上帝眷顧、凡祈求於斯殿者、爾其俯念。耶和華上帝歟、使爾尊榮之法匱、歸於此殿、為爾駐蹕之所、使爾祭司、蒙爾拯救、使爾聖人、喜爾矜憫。耶和華上帝、爾所沐以膏者、勿卻其祈、以矜恤爾僕大闢為念。

希西家接使者所致之書、展讀既竟、則進耶和華殿、陳於其前、

我之上帝耶和華、垂念爾僕之禱、聽我今日所求、望爾晝夕垂顧此殿、即爾曾許必為籲名之所、爾僕於此祈禱、爾其俯聞。凡爾僕及以色列民、祈禱於此、望爾在天上、居處之所、俯聽其祈、得蒙赦宥、

告之曰、爾祈禱於我前、我聞之矣、爾所建之殿、為永籲我名之所、我使之成聖、我將目睹心思、恆久不已。

猶大國民咸知上帝、以色列族中、其名赫奕兮、在撒冷有其帷幕、在郇城有其宅第兮、越在彼土、載折弓矢、載毀干戈兮。

予舉手以拜爾、予仰望爾、如槁壤之望時雨兮、

上帝兮、維彼敵人、詆譭我儕、謗讟爾名、不識何時可息兮。

主居乎天、我舉目以觀瞻兮、如僕舉目望主、如婢舉目望主母、我則瞻仰我之上帝耶和華、望其矜憫兮、耶和華兮我為人藐視、亦已太甚、人享安居、常加凌侮、驕泰者流、亦虐遇余、願爾矜憫余、矜恤余兮。

如以色列族人、自知其心之非、不論何事、展舒其手、向斯殿以祈求、

希西家王聞言、自裂其衣、衣麻進耶和華殿、

予臨患難兮、彼藏予於帷幕、匿余於密室、若處重巖兮。

祭司在耶和華前、供厥役事、當於廡下祭壇間、澘然出涕、曰、耶和華與、斯民也、本屬乎爾、求爾寛宥、不致蒙羞、為異邦人所統轄、異邦人凌侮之、曰、爾之上帝安在、亦奚以為、耶和華必為斯土熱中、矜憫其民、應其所祈、曰、我將施爾以穀酒、爾畀以膏油、使爾果腹、不復為異邦人凌辱、敵人至自北方、妄自尊大、其前茅則向東海、其後勁則向西海、我必掃除之、驅逐於曠野、使其臭氣流布、腥聞於上、
