便．哈达又差派人去见亚哈说：“撒玛利亚的尘土若是足够跟从我的人每人捧一捧的话，愿神明惩罚我，并且加倍惩罚我。”

因为他说：“我靠着我手的能力和我的智慧行事，因为我很聪明；我挪移了列国的地界，抢夺了他们积蓄的财宝，并且我像个勇士般使他们的居民全都俯伏下来。我的手伸到列国的财宝那里，好像抓到鸟窝一样；我取得了全地，好像人拾起被弃的雀蛋；没有动翅膀的，没有张嘴的，也没有鸣叫的。”

耶和华啊！求你向我们施恩，求你向我们施恩；因为我们饱受藐视，到了极点。我们饱受那些安逸的人的嘲笑，和骄傲的人的藐视，到了极点。

有人靠车，有人靠马。我们却靠耶和华我们神的名。他们都屈身跌倒，我们却起来，挺身而立。

便．哈达说：“如果他们是为了求和出来，你们要活捉他们；如果他们是为了争战出来，你们也要活捉他们。”

在他的兄弟和撒玛利亚的军队面前，说：“这些软弱的犹大人在作什么呢？想自己修筑城墙吗？想要献祭吗？想要在一天之内完成吗？想要使废土堆中被火烧过的石头复活吗？”亚扪人多比雅在参巴拉旁边说：“这些人建造的，只要一只狐狸走上去，石墙就崩塌。”“我们的神啊，求你垂听，我们被藐视，求你使他们的毁谤归到他们头上，使他们在被掳之地成为掠物。不要遮蔽他们的罪孽，也不要从你面前涂抹他们的罪恶，因为他们在这些建造的人面前惹你发怒。”

又掠去耶和华殿里和王宫的宝库里找到的所有金子、银子和一切器皿，还有人质，就回撒玛利亚去了。
