不要照著愚昧人的愚妄回應他，免得你也像他一樣。

不要把神聖之物丟給狗，也不要把你們的珍珠丟在豬面前，免得牠們用腳把這些踐踏了，然後轉身撕咬你們。

至於我，我就像耳聾的不能聽見，像啞巴不能開口。我就像是一個不能聽見、口中也無法辯論的人。然而耶和華啊，我期盼你！主我的神哪，你必回應！

管教譏諷者的，自取羞辱；責備惡人的，自招虧損。不要責備譏諷者，免得他恨你；要責備智慧人，他必愛你。
